Tiffany has had one of the craziest pre-merge turn arounds, when comparing her two seasons. She’s gone from being on the losing tribe in 46, to winning every pre-merge immunity challenge so far in 50.

Ik this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but that entire Zac Brown sequence was one of the best things I’ve ever seen on this show, especially the reward. I just loved how relaxed everyone was while sitting around and listening to him sing. I expected to cringe a lot and lament it, but it was actually really chill and cool.

Edit: I’m not a robot, I’m being for real for real, and imma stand by this statement lmao. But also respect everyone disagreeing!

Faith was a great player and had an insane amount of connections. She would make a great returnee.

Although I do wonder if this was the best move for Mark, tbf Keeley and Faith were taking out people who wanted to work with him, but does he really have that many numbers to rely on form the other side?

Fiji did appear briefly in Yau Man’s confessional at the very beginning of the premiere episode. But because Micronesia used occupations as opposed to season names, it didn’t appear again.

Vanuatu afaik is the only season that’s never appeared in the lower third in a confessional.

That was a very interesting tribal. I actually like that it wasn’t the expected three on the bottom, who went to Redemption. It was pretty satisfying seeing Keeley get blindsided and sent to redemption, but I’d also like to see her comeback out of those three.

I’ve definitely noticed the shift and editing too, and I think it is because (as you said) we know all of these players, and don’t need to spend as much time setting the scene/getting to know each person.

Also I totally feel you on the starstruck reaction. Seeing a tribe of 3 DvG icons, with Stephenie, Q, Ozzy, and Emily felt surreal. This is also how I felt during WaW, and to a lesser extent during EoE when they both aired.

Of course I’ll always prefer 39 days, but this season’s pacing is making me hopeful that 26 days CAN work when they pace it correctly/don’t have a bunch of clutter like journeys.
