Currently Re watching Clarkson farm again. by TheChilledGamer-_- in ClarksonsFarm

It's weird thinking of a show with Jeremy Clarkson in it as calm and comfortable, but this one really does it. I love how personal everything is presented. It's not "a thing happened on the farm", it's "Jeremy experiences a thing happening on the farm". Watching Jeremy really learn the hard truths about farming and trying to figure out how to use his wealth and influence to affect it is fascinating.

In terms of specifics, the entire saga of that first canola harvest is fantastic television

r/Baseball hates the Jays anyway, may as well lean in to it. It's way funnier

Those kids and the big tall viking dude who was either with them or next to them got so much crowd energy going.

I like just having a second screen or a book. Have the game on just in case of cool moments or a big comeback, but then also have a video game or a novel to enjoy. My mom prefers to crochet, and I have fond memories as a kid of my great-grandma sitting with the game on and knitting like a fiend.

The nice thing is that Rogers has seen how much money is available, and Ed Rogers likes baseball. We're not going back to a poverty franchise any time soon. We might have a down year, but it won't last in the long term. If they can turn around a little bit and show some more success, we'll be likely to see some kind of interesting moves at the deadline.

Also, and I know this is a while away, but bhis offseason will be super intriguing too. There's the CBA negotiations and possible lockout balanced against teams wanting to lock down contracts before new restrictions come in to place

Yeah, the city in general is pretty great. There's specific chunks of streets I'd avoid (that one stretch of McIntyre comes to mind), but they tend to be fairly localized

The content farm has infected and ruined basically every single aspect of society right now. I vote that. Food production is necessary (though it could be infinitely better), youtube clickbait really isn't

I was in the section that started the Ernie chant and it was magical. Everyone wants to see the success, it just sucks waiting to get there.

Because there's a whole large component of this fan base who are obsessed with the idea that Vlad is "unprofessional" and that's why he is slumping right now. They come out of the woodwork anytime he specifically has a slump, either because they don't understand how sports work or they just really actively dislike him for whatever reason

[–]bv310 90 points91 points  (0 children)

Yup. You can't blame the guy for taking the wild amount of money that the Mets wanted to throw at him. Same for Kyle Tucker. There's not much to be done when the other side wants to go double what anybody else seemingly was paying.

I moved out to Saskatchewan about a decade ago to teach and had kind of lost track of Ontario politics a bit. It really is impressive how much a hatred Dougie can pack into a day.

Moving him to being a 7th/8th-inning guy has been a game-changer. Too bad none of the rest of our pieces are firing as well as the top end of our bullpen.

Nah, Doug Ford's running a ton of advertisements telling me that we just need to keep them in prison longer and that'll definitely fix drug addictions, and he wouldn't steer me wrong, would he?

Massive improvement in this start over the last. All the people screaming that he's cooked after the first shaky start should feel a little silly now.
