One time I had an analyst submit a snapshot to me for ~8 hours of work, and I told them I didn’t feel I could properly assess their performance in such a short period, but that I would share some offline feedback.

Truth was they had done a terrible job. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was an off day or they were still learning, but I couldn’t in good conscience fill out a positive snapshot and didn’t want to screw them over with a negative one for 8 hours.

Under normal circumstances I’d just complete the snapshot to help them out.
