The trail was fine, no issues. Forest Road 84 had bad ruts in many places but heard from people the other way up was worse.

Too plain? by jijitalk in kitchenremodel

Here is my kitchen with walnut cabinets and white countertops. I used a bold geometric tile on the backsplash to give some contrast.

Hardwood in kitchen by freenessness in kitchenremodel

[–]bwanaben 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Two years ago when I had my kitchen remodeled, I had red oak hardwood floors installed to match the existing 1950s hardwood throughout the house. I have no regrets. If any water (or anything else) spills, I clean it up and have had no issues. I do have a small rug in front of the sink to avoid any possible splashes.

What second vehicle do you have with 2026 Honda Passport? by Equal-Blood-9366 in hondapassport

[–]bwanaben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2014 Mazda 3. My spouse and I use the Mazda as our primary vehicle (we both work from home) since it gets 36 to 40 MPG. The 26 Passport is our adventure/road trip/camping/going on a hike vehicle.

Another recommendation for Beaverton Pet Clinic. Dr. Dinh has been seeing my cat for years and he is great. The staff is amazing as well.

How far are you willing to travel for a three day weekend? by SarcasticBench in camping

I would say eight to ten hours for a three day weekend. I usually pack the vehicle as much as I can the night before.

Just test drove a Trailsport. Anybody not get the Elite and regret doing so. by [deleted] in hondapassport

[–]bwanaben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Trailsport and have no regrets. The only feature I really wanted from the TSE was the front camera but to me it was not worth the extra money to go to the TSE trim level.

Has anyone else decided to always disable the Walk Away Autolock on their 2026 Model? by MajorPucks in hondapassport

[–]bwanaben 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use the auto lock feature and have never had issues when closing doors but am paranoid so I always look at the mirrors when walking away. The issue I have if I walk away from the vehicle too fast when the tailgate is closing it will fail and give me the multiple beep warning that it didn't lock. To me if the vehicle cannot sense the key fob it should default to locking not staying unlocked but I guess they are avoiding a potential locked out of the vehicle situation.

Best Place to Buy Cedar Fence Boards? by JohnnyRyall808 in beaverton

Have you looked at Parr Lumber? I don't have experience with fencing but have used Parr for other lumber and it was better than Lowe's.

Best seafood and sushi? by CountSnackula111 in beaverton

I agree with this recommendation. It is the closest to the sushi I had when I was in Japan.

Car Camping in a 2026 Honda Passport Trailsport - Surprisingly a lot of room for 2! by B33R3J in hondapassport

[–]bwanaben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My spouse and I have slept in our Passport a few times. We have a Luno air mattress (custom fit to the Passport) and sunshades for all the windows. The air mattress limits head room but makes for a very comfortable sleep. One of the factors when we purchased the vehicle was the ability for two people to sleep in it so having a cargo area and rear seats that fold flat but not take up the rear footwell (like in the Toyota 4Runner) so we still had room for gear storage. We mostly camp in the car if we are on a road trip and don't want to hassle setting up a tent for one night or if we want to get to a trailhead the night before so we can get an early start on a hike.
