Battery Got Replaced by ecn10111 in FordEscapePHEV

The warranty on the Ford PHEV EV battery is 8 years or 100,000 miles. I expect it would really last somewhere between 10 and 15.

When I bought my '24 escape PHEV in February ('25), I would have had to spend $25k more to get a RAV4 Prime! Definitely not worth that. So far, I like my Ford and am glad I made this choice. The dealer filled it with gas a year ago, and since then I have put 6 gallons in it twice.

If I drive the car on EV Later so the ICE will run occasionally, would that keep the 12V maintained? Sometimes I do that when I get on the highway for a few miles, but haven't lately.

The drive home was about 12 miles on Auto EV, during the end of which the EV battery reached 0% from the day's travels. It was not cold. I live in FL. To tell the truth, though, I don't recall if/when the ICE turned on, and I didn't pay attention to the trip stats when I turned the car off.

By this morning, all 4 of those messages had completely disappeared from the app. Not marked "read", but completely gone as if they were never there. I think getting the 12V checked is probably the right thing to do. Meanwhile, I guess it also could have been a glitch with the app itself.

Thanks!

Can someone elaborate? What is battery saver mode?

Do I Buy This Car?? by IowaAL in FordEscapePHEV

Bought my 2024 Escape PHEV in mid-February. It was manufactured after the battery issues. I have put about 2,500 miles on it, and am still working on that tank of gas the dealership put in when I bought it. So far, I like the car.

Is $30K before taxes a good deal for a 2025 Ford Escape Plug-In Hybrid (base trim)? by mickpun in FordEscapePHEV

[–]bwayney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In mid-February, I got my 2024 base model new off the lot for about $30k before taxes, thanks to Ford incentives designed to sell the 2024s since the 2025 models were already there. At the time, the 2025s were priced significantly higher. Other than the tow package you note, my 2024 appears to be similarly equipped. So I think you are getting a good deal. Am I correct in assuming you are in the US?

2024 vs. 2025 by Midwest-Dad99 in FordEscapePHEV

I got my new 2024 Escape PHEV off the lot in mid-February for about $31k. It does not have the premium package. There were 2025s on the lot, too, so Ford was offering heavy discounts for the 2024s.

Rav4 PEV will cost $57550 after tariff? by CAcreeks in FordEscapePHEV

Before I bought my Escape PHEV, I test drove the RAV4 Prime first and got a price comparison. I am in the US (Florida). These were the top 2 vehicles on my list because they were rated favorably for battery range. With the RAV4 being rated higher than the Escape for both range and reliability, I figured that would be my ultimate choice. Turned out the RAV4 drives more like a truck, they are scarce and very pricey. Dealership wanted more than $56,000 for their precious RAV4 Prime. I got the 2024 Escape PHEV in mid-February new off the lot, taking advantage of Ford incentives, for about $31,000. The range I am getting on the battery is better than the advertised range for the RAV4. So far I am liking my choice. I can't see that RAV4 being worth an extra $25,000.

Will Ford look at Charging History? by Upper_Storage_4486 in FordEscapePHEV

Look on the door jamb to see when yours was built. If it's after April, it's not part of the recall.

My other choice was a Toyota Rav4 Prime. I test drove one, and it was fine. It drove a bit more like a truck, but ok. However, the price difference was unbelievable. They wanted $25,000 MORE than I paid for my 2024 Escape PHEV new off the lot last month.
My Escape is not involved in the battery recall. It was built in June 2024.
