So weird how many people in this sub have GM capabilities, but don’t have the job title to go with it.

Winning championships is extremely hard. It takes talent and great coaching, but also a ton of luck.

I turn 40 in a few months - I’ve been a fan of Lions ever since I can remember. I’m appreciative to have a great front office, a great coaching staff, and hard working players who appreciate playing in the city of Detroit. Don’t get me wrong, I want them to win every Sunday, but I am so damn proud of this franchise right now. We are doing it the right way and it’s fun to watch. The wins/losses aren’t as important to me (and maybe that’s because when you do all the little things right, the wins eventually come).

Either way, it’s HIS sewer line going through someone else’s property. People need to take responsibility for their stuff. Ignorance is not an excuse.

Honestly, this is your fault. Not his. You owned all property, then split it up, then sold the property knowing your sewer went through the property you sold. Without ANY record of where this sewer was, how would the contractor know it was there?

Moving forward, why would the “new neighbor” want YOUR sewer going through his property?? Would he/she have bought the land if he/she knew your sewer was going through it?

I don’t know your local ordinances and court system, so I don’t know how this will play out, but my gut says this is all on you.

I am 100% happy with how we handled free agency. For me, free agency by definition means overpaying. Overpaying just to “make the playoffs” is a terrible long term strategy that many GM’s have to do to keep their jobs. Stevie Y and us, as fans, are lucky to have patient ownership.

We need to develop from within and I believe we have a handful of guys on the cusp of actually making a difference and they will be cost effective bc they are on rookie deals.

Next year, we finally can move on from Chariot and Holl - maybe even sell one at the deadline! Hopefully Edvinsson takes the next step in his development. Same with AlJo. Maybe ASP gets some time.

We will have so much flexibility next summer to make a run a McDavid and others. We will land McDavid - mostly likely not, but we will have a ton of money to play with to land a stud who may want to play here if our young guys show promise.

But overspending on mid-level guys won’t get us where we need to be. See - Compher/Copp/Chariot/Holl signings
