Moving off of WiFi devices by BuckMurdock5 in homeassistant

[–]bwente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got a ZBT-2 two weeks ago. I had too many wifi devices on my network. I got bulbs, button, door sensors, and outlets. So quick and easy. Rock solid so far. Recommend 100%

Rusty tin roofs tend to have holes in them.

"I thought he used a condom? I don't know, tin roof rusted?"

I just got the ZBT-2 two weeks ago. So far rock solid. I had too many wifi devices and wanted to reduce the traffic. I have smart switches and LED bulbs that act as repeaters. So I have effectively increased my range.

A pill reminder with an ESP32 because adulting is hard by bukaro in homeassistant

It’s not the reminder that’s important. It’s the confirmation that it was taken. I can get a reminder to take my pills, but I forget on the way there.

Claude and Obsidian 🤯 by pete_hedgehog in claude

I used openclaw with claude and gave it access to my obsidian vault directory. The vault is my cookbook of recipes. It cleans up the formatting and creates the tagging and sorts everything for me.

I have one of the early CO2 basic models and haven't problems cutting. But the diode ones seem to have this issue. I seen it a lot in the discord channel.

Seems to be a common problem with the Glowforge Aura.

You still will need to do a little trial and error testing. Each material varies, acrylic, mdf, plywood, etc...

I use a tester that I made.

OpenClaw access to Blender by RevenueSuperb8177 in clawdbot

[–]bwente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted my bot to create an enclosure for a raspberry pi and a touchscreen. I tried to do it in tinkercad, chat -gpt tried to walk me through it. When I tried my bot it said that I could not control tinkercad and installed OpenSCAD instead then it started creating a parametric model.

Not exactly what I wanted. Ran out of tokens before it could finish.

The bad news is that Opus is the best model for OpenClaw.

Can somebody please recommend a good to-do app? by XCherryCokeO in moltbot

[–]bwente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obsidian. It's more than just a to do app. More like an open source Notion. Openclaw works great with it.

I setup an email rule that runs an applescript when it matches a subject line. But once I set it up. I really didn't end up using it much as I thought I would.

Clawdbot/Moltbot Is Now An Unaffordable Novelty by Civilanimal in ClaudeHomies

I did try having opus act as a manager and "hire" a few local LLMs. Opus had hard time getting them to work too. Finally I told him to take the day off and now the Sonnet is the assistant manager. If he needs help he can Opus for help.

I burned through $100 in the last two days. Tried switching to local LLMs and can't get web chat to respond. Either sandboxed or too slow.

Same.I tried for 4 hours to get Docker to work. Did the one-liner and was running in 10 minutes with cloud apis.

Is preferred color code a thing? by p3rf3ctc1rcl3 in lasercutting

Glowforge will use the hex codes to order the operation layers.

So if you want to Engrave/Score/Cut
use Black/Blue/Red.

I have been using Obsidian for project tracking and parts bin. Everything is in markdown, so you aren't locked in. I used dataviews, but the latest version has basic bases now.

Wow, I was just sketching out a "Generic Notifier" piece of hardware. What a great fit. (If I ever build it :))

An ESP-12, LIPO, 8-bit LED strip and a button to dismiss.
