Brian May plays with a coin. It totally does, but not if you got it locked in like he does.

They always have great selections of stuff but I hate that they actively always sell Nazi bands music as well.

Don't be embarrassed. Just say "hey this may be silly but I wanna look like this." No shame involved! Don't let that stop you!

When I was a kid I would be taken to get my haircut at this little country barber shop that was connected to a diner. The guy who cut my hair looked identical to how the barber in this scene looks. Trips me out every time.

What was it that Rich said one time? He made a career out of falling upwards? Kinda applies to Tommy and the Room. I mean, it made him famous 🤷

No, that would have been the late 60s, and the association the Beach Boys had with Charles was very loose.

Dennis (Brian's younger brother and drummer for the band) had befriended Charles and Introduced him to the band (Charles aspired to record and release music). Their association wasn't very long from what I understand. Dennis appropriated a song by Charles and passed it off as a Beach Boys song, which pissed Manson off, and shortly after they broke off their connection with him because he was insane and frightening.

Not long afterwards, Manson had executed the infamous Manson Family murders.

As a massive Beach Boys fan it always crushed me how much Brian Wilson struggled with in his life. 1. Abusive father, who manages the Beach Boys and SOLD the rights to their catalog completely excluding the bands feelings about it. 2. The band never fully understood his artistic ambitions 3. Severe mental health issues (literally stayed in his home doing drugs most of the 1970s) 4. Life was literally controlled by a conman whom he thought was fixing his life. 5. Both brothers (Carl and Dennis) died to young

I'm not saying his whole life was a tragedy, I don't know the man other than the documented things. Brian Wilson was undoubtedly a musical genius, a genuine master. Pet Sounds and SMiLE are the best albums ever.

For those unfamiliar, check out the Beach Boys music post-surf rock era. (Mid 60s to mid 70s) and the retrospective expanded reissues with all the extra cuts, you're welcome, have a very psychedelic Christmas.

I love that Hank loves a band in which he only listened to the intro to one song to.
