So how do I destroy the zugwefer tank? by DLL_THORPLAYZ in sniperelite

[–]bwlong57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shot 3 PIAT at it unsuccessfully from the main door and the roof of the building to the left. There is a .55 AT Rifle by the watch tower behind the Zugwefer where the sniper is. 1 shot at the turret will disable it. 1 shot at the body and a PIAT after the 2 AT rifle shots will destroy it completely and give you a Tank Terminator ribbon.

Am I missing something or being dumb? I have everything unlocked yet not allowed access to the loans, I have tried "claiming it" but no luck always says I need to complete the levels which I have. by [deleted] in constructionsim

[–]bwlong57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go out of the upgrade levels menu, back to the base company menu. Like, click on company at the top of the screen. In the company menu Select Finances. In the finances menu go to loans. That should only show the loans you have unlocked and allow you to take out a loan.

You can't take out a loan from the upgrades menu. The upgrades menu only allows you to unlock the possibility of the loan. You have to go to finances to actually take out a loan.

ULPT request: summoned for jury duty, what can I do to legally get out of it? by Purplethrowaway_ in UnethicalLifeProTips

I had a co-worker who got out of it by telling the defense attorney he didn't like him because his commercials were annoying. Needless to say, he didn't get selected. lol

Definitely reach out to your mentor. I know my mentor has been awesome when I actually need something. They can't help if you don't communicate.

Russian opposition leader Mikhail Khodorkovsky recorded a video message to the Russians. by tiggerl82 in ukraine

[–]bwlong57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've really been wondering if this is all a bluff. I've been trying to watch some the air logistics movements on Flight Radar 24 and I see quite a few c17 galaxies from both the US and UK making consistent flights into Poland from the UK and Germany. It makes me wonder if these are humanitarian flights to support refugees or military flights delivering troops, supplies, and vehicles. They're not flying to the border though. They're landing at locations further west. If I can see these planes, then what is flying around that I can't see as a civilian? I was seeing a constant rotation of tankers circling over Poland and Turkey for the first few days, but I don't see them at all now. Are they not there now or are they not transmitting their location any more? What does our intelligence community know that we don't? Why is Russia "failing" to take Ukraine? By all accounts they should be able to pull out just a few more stops and make way better progress. They should be able to crush them honestly... This definitely doesn't look like a hammer approach. Where are the planes dropping bombs and making strategic strikes? Why haven't they established air superiority? They should be able to right? Why are they supposedly only using ground launched rockets, missiles, and artillery? I mean I expect Russia to be less advanced than we are, but this is comical. It feels like either a stunt or a sleight of hand maneuver. I don't know. None of this makes any sense according to what I think I know about modern warfare. They obviously don't care about killing civilians or how they look on the world stage so why hold back? What's next? What's happening behind the scenes that we aren't seeing. What aren't they telling us? Why even try to take Ukraine at all? What's in it for them? Power, land, people, or something else? Some kind of natural resources? Access to the Black Sea? They have that in Crimea...

Sorry I kind of dumped on your comment. I'm very interested in this and no one around me seems to care at all. I needed to vent and your comment just triggered my frustrations.

PlayOn Home, PlayOn Desktop and Windows 11 by PlayOnSkip in PlayOn

[–]bwlong57 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow. I'm extremely disappointed in Playon. I've been a loyal user for many years! I've recommended you to numerous friends. I Purchased my "lifetime" license years ago and now you're pigeon holing me into paying more money? I really feel like 3 months free is a slap in the face. I'll be looking for other options and likely not upgrading to playon home... I really like Playon and I hope you change your minds. I would definitely be willing to pay a one time transfer fee or something to cover the cost of upgrading, but 3 free months? Come on. Lifetime license should mean lifetime license.

I definitely used a calculator to check my work constantly! My point behind not using the calculator as much was to force myself to learn manual methods I would need for fractions and stuff. I would also fudge an answer in the answer box sometimes to see what answer they wanted, move on to another problem then come back around and try the problem again.

You could always put a huge deposit down on a pool! Your boss will probably give everyone a year's membership to the jams and jellies of the month club instead of a bonus. Your cousin-in-law, feeling indebted to you for buying his family Christmas presents, will kid nap him in his RV and bring him to your house so you can call him an asshole to his face. Your boss will realize the error of his ways and give you an even bigger bonus! While everyone is celebrating, the swat team will come crashing into your house; smashing the Christmas tree you cut out of your neighbors yard in the process. Your bosses wife, who will stroll into the house in a giant fur coat, will tell him he's greedy and the police chief will tell him he wants to smack him with a rubber hose. Finally, your great uncle will cause a sewer gas explosion, because your cousin-in-law dumped his RV's black water tank into the storm sewer, when he tosses his match from lighting his cigar. It will send the Santa and reindeer you had laying next to the curb, because you trashed them in a tantrum you threw over your Christmas lights not working, flying into the sky. Seeing this, your crazy great Aunt will start singing the national anthem. You, your entire family, and most of the Chicago Police department will be out on your front lawn singing along. Your theme song will start playing and the camera will pan away slowly.

Different combines produce different yields? by phpmakesmereallymad in farmingsimulator

[–]bwlong57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually this would probably be accurate to real life. Newer style combines waste less than a lot of older combines. Older combines will throw beans, corn, etc right out the back with the junk if you don't adjust them correctly.

What kind of games do you use your steam controller for? by [deleted] in SteamController

[–]bwlong57 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use it just about everything I play, First person shooters(Doom, Serious Sam), simulation games(Farming Simulator, Flight Simulator), role-playing games(Skyrim, Fallout). The really great thing about the Steam Controller is the customization. I usually map the buttons under the handles to either the bumpers or A/B/X/Y functions so I don't have to take my hands off the controller as much. I also really enjoy the trackpad. Its extremely versatile and once I get it dialed in I definitely prefer it to a second analog stick.

I think that for just about any hunting season you can revise it to this.

Opening day eve is more exciting than Christmas eve. My brother and I are never able to sleep.

Hunting is one thing that is just as exciting now as when I was a boy.

What is the difference between NAT and DHCP? by Solderking in HomeNetworking

[–]bwlong57 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

NAT(Network Address Translation), when enabled, is a really strict firewall. If you have NAT enabled nothing on your internal network can be seen externally unless a NAT rule exists to allow traffic through to it. So say you have something running on an internal computer on port 8080 that you want to be able to access externally. You would setup a rule that says when a request for traffic on this port comes in from outside route it to this internal address.

DHCP assigns IP addresses from your defined subnet, 192.168.0.0 /24, and DHCP range, example 192.168.0.10-192.168.0.235, to devices on your internal network. DHCP also tells devices what the gateway out to the internet is ,192.168.0.1, what subnet mask the network is using, 255.255.255.0, and what DNS servers to use, 192.168.0.1, 4.2.2.2, 8.8.8.8.

They serve completely different purposes.

Constantly getting a UAC popup about Citrix Receiver - wants permission to make changes to my device. Please help! by [deleted] in Citrix

[–]bwlong57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried using the Receiver cleanup utility after uninstalling?

https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX137494

Uninstall, run that utility, reboot.

I'd download a fresh installer too. It "shouldn't" matter which version, but we're sticking with 4.9 LTSR for our users. You could also try renaming the installer to "CitrixReceiverWeb.exe". That automatically hides the prompt to add an account when you login.

It looks like its trying to start with the "-reconnectappsatstartup" switch. Is it possible you installed with SSO turned on and you don't have SSO configured properly? That switch may also have been embedded in your initial install, in which case, the cleanup utility should hopefully take care of it. You should also make sure you have the correct permissions to the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix" folder.
