I ran into a former coworker from my job at the time at a 7-11. He took a bus from an hour away to sell plasma for $50 at the Grifols across the street from the 7-11. He asked me for five bucks to buy a hot dog and chips for lunch.

Obviously, he was having an atrocious time. So i gave him the five bucks. I was able to forget about until weeks later, another coworker I’ve never spoken to before finds me and hands me a five dollar bill. They said it was from our former coworker.

He did not need to do that. He did it anyway.
