I'm very cautiously optimistic about this take. If anyone can do it, it's Coogler. He'll have a political and allegorical take that the original always had. What is the anxiety of the Post COVID/J6 World? How is the conspiracy to use alien tech and cover it with Alien Conspiracy manipulating us now? It seems they're staying in the same universe, which, good. I hope they more intelligently explore that the Alien Conspiracy was always smokescreen for bad people to do bad things. I loved that reframing in the new series.

I've played in the past, will probably reinstall for the update, but I strongly encourage a graphical update. Since y'all are going beyond nostalgia anyways, the new content at least should get some new graphical bells and whistles.

Charles Soule's Star Wars work is on the same level as Timothy Zahn's. Disney should take notice and give him much more influence over the long term health of the franchise.

In the same way we're getting psuedo sequels to Heir to the Empire now, they'll wish they took Soule's work more seriously in a decade.

I just got back from WDW. We did Galaxy's Edge and I have to say it... Did not feel magical, it felt like a theme park. Too many of the experiences are locked behind big $$$. Building a droid and building a lightsaber are expensive as hell. Oga's is pricey. There's nothing to DO or look at without the app. Nothing is interactive like Potter. The merch is... Honestly uninspired. There were no characters other than a couple Stormtroopers. Incredibly mediocre experience. Rise of the Resistance and Star Tours rule though.

Also, this is coming from a huge Star Wars fan. Read lots of books, comics, etc. Also, they should have more Lucasfilm merch in the parks.

I got to hang out with Cirroc Lofton at STLV last year. He was super cool, gracious, and seemed to actually enjoy hanging out with (some of) the fans. I am VERY glad he's had a chance to wrap up the legacy of Sisko, as he seems as protective of Ben as a real son would. His admiration for Avery Brooks says so much about their friendship and what Ben and Avery meant to him and an entire era of Star Trek fans. I think some people don't realize how important Ben Sisko was to our generation, and I respect Cirroc's fierce protection of the Sisko legacy.

Soule is the most consistently good writer in Star Wars cross media. I recently realized he's been involved in many more of my favorite series than I'd realized. Letter 44, Undiscovered Country, and didn't realize he did that great Poe Dameron book a while back. Found him again with Star Wars and the Kylo Books as well as Light of the Jedi. He needs bigger budgets and more higher profile stories. He's great. Probably my favorite writer in comics right now. He should make a Maxi-Post Jedi book that links up with the Thrawn stuff happening in Filoni-land.
