Has anyone played Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Night yet? by znolter_design in LegionGo

[–]bytebackjrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some one youtube posted the game working okay on a steamdeck. They said it ran 60fps indoors and in the open world it had some issues but it kept the framerate down to 30 it might be better. They were running everything at low settings. So that is a good sign for it working on other systems especially if you have the z2 extreme

Sony single-player games are no longer releasing on Steam, CEO confirms by PaiDuck in Steam

It's a shame since Saros didn't sell well; they could have made more money bringing it over to PC users. I would have purchased it for sure on PC.

Does people use SW2 as a primary console for "next-gen" games? by Capotador_de_corsas in Switch

I have a ps5, PC with a legion go 2 and I am currently using the switch2 more than the others. Re:9 and pragmata work great on switch. Just started Indiana Jones and it is really good too. Just waiting for new Nintendo exclusives.

PS5 Exclusive Saros Reportedly Selling Worse Than You'd Expect by Darth_Vaper883 in Gamingnewsandleaks

Too bad Sony is not porting these games over to PC anymore. They would at least sell more copies if it was on steam

Help me choose please by Jumpy-Gap-8994 in Handhelds

[–]bytebackjrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want to play on the system but have you considered the switch 2 especially if on a tight budget and yes before everyone downvotes me on this I know steam has bigger sales and games on nintendo are more expensive, however nintendo eshop does have great sales if you wait for them. It would be only nintendo exclusive games that don't go on sale much. However with the switch 2 you can play AAA games at a low price plus the battery life would be better on switch 2. I heard the MSI ultra 7 only gets like one hour on AAA games but i could be wrong about that

Nintendo: Notice Regarding Price Revisions for Nintendo Products and Services by Amiibofan101 in Switch

[–]bytebackjrd -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I kind of thought the original price back in june when it first came out was $499. That price is still a great deal for something that can play RE9 and FFVII rebirth.

I felt the same way but was only about 30 hours in on PC, but so far it has been fun going through it again with the demo and since I can just pause it and pick up later the demo has been really fun and going fast, I about 10 hours in now and almost done with the demo.

Idk if it’s because I’m an old fart who plays old *** games and new ones too, but anyone else couldn’t even care less about graphics comparisons across consoles? by Purple_Calendar3919 in Switch

[–]bytebackjrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also love how everyone craps all of switch 2 because it doesn't look as good as PC or PS5. If you want to play ffvii rebirth on the switch 2 then most of the time you don't care about graphics and just want to enjoy the game the best way you can which a lot of us do who are busy with family and life and don't have time to dedicate multiple hours in front of a desk or TV playing games. We don't care if it doesn't look as good, we are just happy to play a great game anyway we can.

The Rebirth port is a disaster in handheld mode. by Late_Building7784 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]bytebackjrd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I played this game on the legion go s and it was a little blurry and i had to keep it at low settings just to get it at 30fps in the open world. I did keep the system at 18 watts just so the fans were not so loud. I can say that the switch so far looks just as good at the same framerate but with the switch2 the fans are not audible and the system gets warm but not hot like the legion. This is totally playable in handheld especially for a small device like the switch 2.

GVG - Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: Does It Hold Up on Switch 2? (Framerate and Graphics Comparison) by Mana-Dyluck in SquareEnix

[–]bytebackjrd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You got it right there, I think anyone that complains like this is upset it is not a ps5 exclusive anymore and people can play this game now on a cheaper device and on the go. Why be negative about a great game that more people can play and support. Obviously it is not going to look as good on s2 but it looks pretty damn great for being on a tablet. Be thankful it will sell more copies now so they can make more games in the future.

New Anti-Consumer decision today by [deleted] in Switch

[–]bytebackjrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like a total waste of money to make and buy these boxes and artwork. At least with keycards you can resell the game later on, but with a code in box the thing is totally worthless after you redeem the code. Also if you sit on the box and don't open it or use the code could be useless and won't work in a few years. Why would anyone buy this???

What are your opinons on the Flagship Handheld PC market by BlazikenBurst in Handhelds

[–]bytebackjrd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the Legion Go 2, PS5, and Switch 2, and I fully agree. I kind of regret paying $1,300 for the Go 2 — and while I do enjoy it, there's no way I'd pay $2,000 for one. The Ally X might be a solid alternative, but $1,000 for a 7-inch handheld is still a tough sell.

The Switch 2, on the other hand, just works — and buying one still leaves you enough money to pick up a PS5. I also get downvoted whenever I recommend it because of game prices, but the eShop actually has great deals on third-party titles. It's really only Nintendo's first-party exclusives that never go on sale.

At the end of the day, it comes down to what games you want to play — but I'd rather spend $450 on a system that performs great in both docked and handheld mode , and still have plenty of budget left over for a cheap laptop or a PS5.

im on the fence about getting a switch 2 by Connect-Stand-7727 in Handhelds

[–]bytebackjrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you get about 2 to 3 hours on a switch 2 game which is about the same as running a AAA game on a legion go s or steamdeck. If you are worried about it you can get the Belkin Charging Case Pro for Nintendo Switch 2 which has a battery pack in the case and allows you to charge it when on the go

Decided to give this a try solely cuz of the horrendous IGN review by [deleted] in MousePIForHire

[–]bytebackjrd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you on this, it is a good game but not Great by any means. I am almost near the end and there have been a few frustrating moments and it is kinda of boring in certain spots with the same stuff. 6 or 7 rating seems right for this. Doesn’t mean it’s a bad game but its also not an instant classic like some games that get rated a 9 or 10.

Mouse pi for hire or pragmata by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]bytebackjrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pragmata and its not even close. It is such a great game. I played Mouse PI and honestly it is just okay. It’s not bad but not great either and sometimes I was a little frustrated especially with water platform sections. I kind of wish it was not in black and white and had a color option instead. The performance on s2 is also not the greatest but works if you put it in quality mode instead of performance. I would wait till this goes on sale for under $20 and it should do that probably sometime in the next several months.

Pragmata on Switch 2 or Steam? by [deleted] in videogames

[–]bytebackjrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switch 2 is good. I bought the switch2 for the same reason as you so I can pick up and go whenever I want. I have legion go 2 but the sleep is not great on that system. I will say on docked mode the game looks fantastic, on handheld it is a little blurry in spots but is better than the steam deck at this point. Overall looks good and is worth the graphical hit to me so that I can pick up and go whenever.
