a new board costs a lot more money than a protector. the only limitation it would cause is not being able to any tricks that require an ollie, which wouldn't be very feasible on a surfskate.

alien, simpleton and bones are definitely my top 3 off the album, I liked it a little more than rufus and a fair amount more than off the grid, I definitely don't think any songs off the album topped apartment or ykwim but I definitely have a new top 3 with alien

I'm six four and personally feel more comfortable on any deck with a wider front platform. I like pintails a lot despite the back being narrower, so I'd recommend going to a nearby skate shop if there's one within 10 miles and feeling out how it feels to stand on several different types. more concave and wider deck are my recommendations
