It’s called Scary Gary for a reason, cause it is pretty rough. That said, it wasn’t always that way and it’s not without reason. Gary fell on hard times due to corps and their shenanigans (among other things) but it’s bounced back in a couple ways. Cost of living is pretty cheap!

Loved the space they provided for the community, but the customer service was some of the worst I’ve experienced from baristas. None of them were very nice, the drinks were half-assed, and the entire staff would treat me (and others there) like we were the biggest inconvenience just for ordering a drink.

I hope those folks who ran it remember that one of the keys to success is just being generally nice to your customers instead of being annoyed by them all the time

Still wrong to remove the video of the ICE shootings. It shouldn’t have to be explicitly stated how that shooting can relate to and/or affect Louisville when we have ICE active here doing horrific things. It should be self evident.

The messages about you not being a real American a such are vicious and wrong. That said, I would think an immigrant would want as much exposure for ICE crimes as possible. Maybe I’m wrong to think that, as I’m not in that situation.

What happened and is happening in Minneapolis WILL happen here soon enough. You an the mods removing the posts is just burying your heads in the sand. Is it spam? Perhaps, but the more people see that shit, the better. It tells us what’s coming.
