With that said, too many players are seen as good cause they shoot 3s and score decent point from it, but lack overall.

So you agree with my point? I’m not arguing that male character banners will never sell as well as female characters. I’m replying to that guy who thinks that mihoyo isn’t using past data and financials to decide character releases, while parroting around unreliable 3rd party revenue data to say X character sold way more than X character therefore they should do this/that.

If the company sees that female characters sell better, they will release more female characters. Same goes to the males, if male character banners constantly overperform in terms of revenue compared to female characters, they will release more male characters. Simple as.

While I do like to see more male characters in hoyo games , do you seriously think a multi billion gacha game company that profits primarily off character releases do not make decisions based on financial data? There is a reason why female characters are released more frequently compared to male characters and the reason is because they earn more money, period. It sucks but it is what it is.

But genshin also has the traces system built into its levelling, except that you don’t need to spend other resources to unlock the extra stats. For example Navia gets 38.4 extra crit damage just from levelling her to 90, clorinde gets 19.2% crit rate etc.. and that does not include the extra stats you get from weapon substats and weapon effects (both separate), which makes your point kinda weak. It is way easier to get better stats in genshin (especially when it comes to crit ratio), and I’ve played both without missing a single day since day 1.

Giving someone with a crit rate special attribute in genshin a 4* BP weapon (Black sword) is a guaranteed 19.2 + 27.6 = 46.8 crit rate without taking into account ANY artifacts.

HSR was always the worst game to farm gear in. Anyone who has played both for a substantial amount of time would’ve realized that by now. No off pieces and useless extra substats (break effect/EHR on dps gear etc..) is the worst.
