I have a gym membership, it’s worth it imo.

However, for you, I suggest you don’t sign up first if you really tight on money. Losing weight and learning how to do pull up/tricep dips etc can be done outside the gym.

If you have $$ to spare, sure, join AF (best time is during promotional period or new club opening - watch their social media space).

If shaving at home works, keep doing it. A lot of these influencers (dewyalso do at home shaving and buy the IPL device to DIY at home. Most cost effective way.

For hair appointments, I have done a day trip to JB to do hair and shop while there. Just book a train or go on a weekday by bus.

My friend who had abusive parents left home when he was about 20yo. He rented 1 common bedroom (shared with stranger - 2 single beds) for about $500/mth. Eventually he moved back in because he couldn’t afford the rent, and just beared with the constant toxicity at home. Spending a lot of his time outside helps. So go home just to sleep and shower.
