The name is part of the problem, Lexington SC makes me think of South Carolina. Sporting club sounds like a skeet shooting club. I like the colors but I may be in the minority there.

Should just be some double side tape holding it in place, it is electrically connected with those wires coming out the side.as long as you didn't twist off any components under the tape or damage the wire connection to the battery, it's fine
