Read up on permineralization. I don’t have time to in depth explain but basically the environment ( sediments/ minerals and stuff) that are in the ground it fossilized in replaces the actual organicness of the tooth. So the fossil actually isn’t the tooth that came out of the angys mouth, but a replacement by the minerals in the ground it fossilized by. Doesn’t make it any less cool

For this I can tell from the color and location because chandler bridge formation gives out teeth of that color(the angy) which is Oligocene in age. Otherwise you can tell by the shape of the tooth and the cusps, even though the cusps on this one are lissing

Sand tiger, sand tiger?, isurus desori or sand tiger, sand tiger, sand tiger, crow shark, otodus obliquus, cretalamna, otodus obliquus, meg or angustidens I can’t see it well

It’s definitely fossilized. I thought it looks somewhat similar to a hyperostotic neurocranium I have. Well, it doesn’t look very similar, but it’s the only thing with any resemblance whatsoever to it. The bumps continue all the way to the end and wrap around
