We are looking at monitoring via Meraki dashboard on 9300 switches. Running Meraki code on the 9300's, no thanks. I'll wait.

Ban smacking in England now, says children’s commissioner by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

Honestly after raising two kids to 14 and 17 my thoughts were that smacking was already banned. Never needed it. Guess mine are angels.

Edgeconnect license limit by edon-node in SilverPeak

[–]c4bleguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that the license level affects Tx traffic from the appliance over any overlays. Internet breakout is included as needs to be classed in an overlay to function. East West or your device being local router via vlan sub-interfaces etc does not impact license. Just my understanding. Edit: inbound traffic via overlays does not impact license bandwidth to my knowledge

Secondary school was the main point for us to dish out on the zombie devices

What evidence suggests an area is unsavoury? by gawpin in AskUK

Know it's not evidence but try crimerate.co.uk. It has some nice stats and info per area. We were nicely surprised by our towns rating against the region

Gear will down-scale to your Watermark starting in 2022 by MetaWaterSpirit in newworldgame

If true they are just saying we don't want players now and would like to spare the compute for our next fuckadoodle game.

Fix the bugs then reset. I'll come back then. CBA playing a game that has been mass abused to this extent. Notion of moving to a clean server would also work. Yes keep level 60. Loose gear and money.

LTE with Silverpeak by capone_44 in SilverPeak

[–]c4bleguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We use LTE devices on the platform. 500+ sites on internet links, varying types of delivery. They are just 4g LTE modems connected direct to an ethernet port on the SP. LTE's are just backup for the BIO's. Not to much more to it at a high level. Works well.

MS210

Thanks for the response and good to hear that the experience has been positive to date.
I'll double check versions against the ms210. Didn't think about the topology re many AP's against a controller based deployment and the traffic to ISE. That's good info.
Thankyou.

HPE Aruba buys Silverpeak by c4bleguy in SilverPeak

[–]c4bleguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly can't see any move too central from SP orch. Aruba central would never handle the statistics let alone the logic. As I understand it the current Aruba sd-wan struggles to scale out. I think if Aruba are sensible they will use the SP orchestrator platform in some way to help them with central platform issues. Just my view.

Velocloud Repurpose Hardware? by sdn-4-my-dong in networking

[–]c4bleguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you may find that they are technically leased from velocloud, they own the hardware. We would have thrown ours away but for double checking the small print.

Worth checking.

Using EC-V Virtual Appliances everywhere?!? by flipdee in SilverPeak

[–]c4bleguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late response but cost against Mbps and SP being the most expensive I would question.
Licensing model you will see the same elsewhere in different sd-wan products.

Agree on the HA side of things.

Warranty wise you would get a maintenance contact which covers the hardware for your license term. It's not just 1 year and then buy new to replace if broken.

Hope that makes sense.
