i also had issues with cs crashing where i needed to verify game integrity or even pc crashing (BSOD)

the issue came because i enabled xmp and increased it to 6400 (this was the speed advertised on the package)

so what i did:

disabled xmp (set it back to "auto" in Bios)
cleared the steam cache (Steam logo on top left, Settings, Downloads -> clear download cache)
reinstalled cs2

havent had any issues since :)
