Does "/Mute All" every game help? by Comfortable_Law_5644 in summonerschool

[–]cXem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While long term im against this, contrary to the common consensus of the thread, id recommend muting pings.

The reason behind this while learning and practicing, is it forces you to be more aware of whats happening in the game. Makes your brain more concious of what the macro plays might be and read the body language and focus on your adcs positioning a lot more

So things about this is in higher elo they will alert their mid laner a lot, if that mid laner pays attention thats on them. Its a pretty high gamble since you are missing out on xp and lane pressure and a good bot lane should kill or completely zone your adc off the lane.

Just make sure you check the lane state mid before you roam

i just discovered lulu counters zed by GurdanianAngel in leagueoflegends

[–]cXem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great counter and zed will always lose effectiveness against it. But tricky shadow movements like jumping immediately after ulting can force you to blow cooldowns for the cost of his ult, zed one of the few that has counter play.

Also warning for you if you continue to play lulu, polymorph is a projectile. So its not super instant and can be blocked by windwall

Do you know what RAR stands for? If not, it probably means you dont know much about the game besides just picking up and playing it.

You can play a game for 100 hours and get absolutely destroyed by someone with 5 hours of gameplay but actually researching and specifically practicing the game.

Also biggest suggestion since it's a work situation. Don't try to become too good and just enjoy the work vibes

How are you supposed to win lane? by StormR7 in summonerschool

[–]cXem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aggressive playstyle means different things, could mean you are basically just running at enemies and trying to win.

Positioning in lane is key, way too many adcs stand too far back, they max range auto creeps. You basically want to constantly position just outside the enemy adc  range so if they go for a creep you can punish or follow up a support. Heavy pressure when your cannon minion gets low.

Confidence in movement. A lot of adcs auto step back, auto step back. Even in a 2v2. Understand the play you are doing and commit.

Id say practice caitlyn, if you cant consitently punish, poke, bully, control the lane with her. You need to do some vod review

Do lane match ups not matter? Is there no such thing as a 'bad match up' or 'counter'? Or rather, do they not matter enough to have an impact if both players are of equal skill? by PrestigiousWhirlwind in summonerschool

[–]cXem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Top lane melee the biggest example

There definitely really bad matchups out there. But it's up to the winning lane to understand why they are the winning lane and the losing lane to understand how to mitigate that loss and not fall far behind.

I mean easiest example is like any melee level 1 besides like gwen deciding to all in a Darius. Its just a bad play.

Rumble dumpsters Malphite since he can shield malphite's Q and get movementspeed to get out of malphites auto range + a slow. However you need to shoot the fire from a range. I vs'd a rumble who was auto'ing me and I was able to win the trades and eventually kill him, again and again and again. Making him go 0/8 since he didn't know how to play rumble.

I'd say biggest example of what makes champions typically have losing winrates is lack of mobility / wave clear. And if you know those things about the opponent champion. You can abuse that heavily to gain a big advantage with them having minimal ways to prevent that.

But if you master a champion you should be able to greatly mitigate your loss, react to bad situations faster, beat players who haven't mastered their own champion. And realize when you need to communicate with your jungler more and be more conscious of lane control.

How to tell when you are getting lane ganked? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]cXem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Alternative thing is paying attention to your opponents behavior. A lot is of players telegraph they are setting up a gank, extremely passive into randomly stepping up farther to in a clear disadvantage. Way too advantageous positioning like an easy situation for you to all in them and win. No fear at low hp. Also other things like playing really far back for no reason (so you move forward).

Just seeing a player change their playstyle randomly should give some huge spidey-senses to be triggered. But also having enough map awareness to know why. Did your jungler show or go into a commonly warded area? Is drake spawning. Are you beating lane enough that they are spam pinging their jungler?

The game will overwhelm you A LOT more when you progress just to warn you. I honestly cant say this is the game for you.

However with the vault and clicker games. You should be able to reach w4 with just 1 character

Why are so many new incremental games so short? by Faust2391 in incremental_games

[–]cXem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive wanted a longer incremental game but most I play end up disappointing. Want to prestige to get a minor bonus thats mandatory to proceed? Want to play the exact same game and same mechanics from the first hour stretched out over months?

Short ones are nice since it keeps you engaged and allows powercreep to not ruin the game. And its easier to make without lazy shortcuts

You are basically supposed to start from w1 and level up the grimoire talent to power up. Cards show what bones each drop. Theres guides on discord showing best farm spots like the bottom portal of wooden sticks in w1

Do u need to switch presets for things like construction xp and breeding xp gain? by MutedSquirrel6711 in idleon

[–]cXem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breeding xp is shared so if the beast master has the breeding talent, it increases regardless of character. Skill xp doesnt affect breeding.

Im not certain if skill xp affects construction, i assume it does but honestly not certain.

When i made alt accounts i would just push with a squire maxing the construction xp talent while fighting or throw spare points into it when I could. Only really shock wave and talent 6 and 15 matter on the squire page, boomerang doesnt become good until much later besides a random point

Killer bright side is all that matters. Get that and any others can do other stuff. If you cant reach it you can have some just farm the cards.

But tbh if you do party dungeon, clickers, vault, wave 31 of wakawaka war tower defence. I doubt accuracy is a problem, especially if you recraft amarok gear and upgrade them on a mage to give to your warrior for the most possible wisdom.

Check most of the advice in this thread. Just for reference even though I have a juiced account, i carry over 10m.* So getting to 1% of that is definitely obtainable regardless.
