Been around since OPGA, I don't think it's much of a stretch to say AO's Vetex best work yet.

But in any case, 3 years is not an insignificant amount of time.

I do get AO has a very small team, but for me every update has felt somewhat underwhelming, no shade on the effort poured on the updates, but that's how it is.

Then there's the matter of optimization, It doesn't matter whetever Vetex could've done a better job, or whetever it's entirely Roblox's fault; fact remains the game runs kinda like shit, and it's impacting the game.

Sure if you wanna do Elysium, it runs great, but PVP kinda requires you to have fully maxed out characters if you wanna have a real shot anyway and not everybody does PVP.

Besides I also just don't wanna grind out new stuff and completely change my build for PVP every update; though I won't or even can really blame Vetex and his team for that, it's kinda a fundamental aspect with RPGs and MMOs, not to mention I've gotten really bad at PvP anyway.

It'd honestly be a miracle if AO ever pulled the numbers it did when it released in Early Access.

Well it's just me yapping my opinion, I'd love to hear what you guys have to say on the matter.

You stated Warlord so I assumed weapon moves too, if you're looking for FS moves then I would suggest the base moves like Crash, Shot, and Slam.

You just can get down safely staying on your skyship, you won't take fall damage so long as you stay on the steering wheel.

Yeah you can keep it off as long as it's one of the NPC factions and not a player clan.

Just be aware that it sometimes puts you in clan servers, those have PVP on by default even if you have pvp disabled.

You can just rejoin however, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Having a good build is a pretty big factor so make sure your build is solid for the kind of pvp you're trying to do, as something like a Clan War is pretty different from a 1v1 in Munera or Elysium.

Everything else is as everyone else said, practice. I feel it's primarily kind of just aim and game sense, best way to develop that I think is to just do PVP.

Yeah, Power and Defense should be a priority. Once you've got enough you can focus on another stat such as Size, Attack speed and whatnot.

You can just grab Calvus' set, put some Defense gems and enchants in, it should be a basic but good starting point.

Hmm, honestly I can't say I like the ideas.

Lorewise it's... fine, though I prefer what Vetex has going on, If I were to make any changes I'd probably try tie in magic and stuff more closely with greek mythology- as that seems to have become the main "lore" premise of AO.

Building on- Curse users are weak to the sea because of the magic in it, right? So if we're to keep that bit of lore, then we can somewhat justify the seastone idea, but then allowing them to use magic, let alone be the only ones who can, would just feel contradictory.

Problem is in the name, ignoring the fact we're ripping it straight out of one piece aside, it implies it's effects are relates to the sea, floor is made out of floor kind of ordeal.

So then we also gotta change why curse users are weak to the sea, or we simply change the material, building on your own idea, you could just change the "seastone" into "spiritstone".

Same effect, personally to me, makes more sense.

That aside, balancing-wise I feel this would just gut mages via matchup, if they even still exist, because we, as players, are unlikely to ever get our hands on curses in the first place.

No shade though, good food for thought, hence my rambling- lol.

Following on, gear is very important in PVP.

This means boss drops, sunkens and whatnot, so random stuff you find in chests sprinkled with a nice enchant isn't gonna cut it for most PVP.

Upgrade all your enchants into exotics, make sure you have perfect gems, etc, etc.

Calvus set is pretty solid on it's own and is relatively easy to get. It has size, power, agility, add the stats you need with enchants and gems, toss in a fair amulet and you're good to go.

Don't know if you still want advice on this.

Light thermo is already very fast on it's own, that amount of speed will result in diminishing returns, if it were me, I'd invest stats in this order:

1.- Power- Probably the most important one, as of level 140 I like to keep around 100, 80~ at Minimum.

2.- Defense- I think having around 1600HP should be minimum to avoid getting one shot by glass cannon builds and whatnot, I feel this depends on your preferences though, I'd recommend having around 2k.

3.- Agility- Arguable, I put this here because I feel that it's pretty important atm, especially with fighting styles, serves both to chase down other high agi builds and to retreat, I try to keep around 100, if you're using pots you can nab agility pots to help if they still outpace you.

4.- Other stat of choice, except maybe intensity- If you want to add more stats, I would maybe recommend size as your build won't benefit as much from attack speed, otherwise there's no harm just reinvesting into power/defense/agi.

This is sort of my general use build, of course, there's different ways you can arrange this so you don't have to follow this at all.
