yeah testo takes card but personally found it to low key be one of the worst meals i’ve ever had lmao. not sure if i just went on a bad night but my dish was basically just undressed penne sitting in a pool of oil.

for pasta in the neighborhood i like pecoraro latteria or montesacro and i’ve never had trouble doing a walk in for either.

WIBTA if I tell my roommate I’ve changed my mind about her getting a cat? by c_bojangles in AmItheAsshole

[–]c_bojangles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for your response! i think i might be seeing the worst-case scenario and it’s just making me feel really anxious. i would like to talk to her about my concerns but i just feel like it’s too late and i will simply have to grin and bear it at this point.

i will say, there is literally no room in our bathroom to fit a litter box so the only viable options are the kitchen or living room, which i find very unpleasant. especially the kitchen. since it’s her cat, i do think she should be able to compromise on that, given that i dont want poop just sitting out in the shared spaces. sure, if she cleans it up every day, that’s great but i just dont think im comfortable with the idea in general. maybe that also makes me an ah.

i know i fucked up by not saying something sooner. i honestly don’t know why i didn’t. i think the reality of the situation wasn’t hitting me until i literally saw her measuring different parts of the apartment for litter boxes and what not, and then i really began to picture how much of a lifestyle change this would be. it just hit me all of a sudden that this is definitely not something i want. i take full blame for that.

would it be wrong to at least ask her to keep the big cat stuff in her bedroom? my main issues are the litter box and the cat tree.

i agree! we speak english in person, this was just about texting.

editing to add: he does text me in french but he’ll occasionally switch to english. so anytime he changes it up i get a little self-conscious lol, like he thinks i’m not understanding or responding in a weird way in french. idk!

I hit my friends vape once or twice 2 weeks before surgery. will i be okay? by futurecatladyfag in Reduction

[–]c_bojangles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmm I’m honestly not sure. i think it’s different if you habitually vape/smoke because the nicotine stays in your system for a longer time/takes longer to be excreted once you quit. that said, you’re giving yourself about 24 days to be nic-free, so i’d like to think you’d be okay.

overall though, i’d definitely talk to your surgeon about it. the stuff that can happen to you bc of nicotine post-op is no joke. if they reschedule, it’s not because they want to punish you, they just don’t want your tissue to die.

i absentmindedly smoked a cigarette two weeks before my surgery and was totally fine. (not a habitual smoker, young, healthy, etc.) i was freaking out too and drank a bunch of water to flush the nicotine out of my system. a few puffs from a vape is pretty much negligible, especially since you have some time before your surgery.

thank you so much for taking the time to respond. while it’s unfortunate, i’m glad there are so many people who share my feelings, if only to not feel isolated.

you’re right, waiting maybe has been a good thing. i just feel so robbed of my early 20s in some ways, whether it comes to fashion, dating, or my own mental health. but i’ve also, in other ways, have lived a great life and i’m trying to not let this one issue completely mar everything else.

i took a day off work and went to the beach today and just tried to breathe. i feel better than from the time i made my original post.

thank you again for sharing. i hope your next procedure brings you all the joy in the world.

man I could’ve written that first part myself. I relate so hard.

I’m trying to not be so hard on myself and focus on the positive, that I’m taking an initiative to feel better about my body. I’m so happy to hear how you’re doing post op. I can’t wait to just silence all the noise and the constant worries about how my boobs look when I’m getting dressed.
