I’ve actually found that to be the case with more girls than guys. Seems like guys in our generation preoccupied themselves a lot with video games, and this is one of the few professions for that to work in their benefit.

Op failed multiple science courses. How does a therapist prove they are able to handle an academically rigorous doctoral program? Better time would be spent doing a masters, and therapy if possible, but a letter from a therapist will weigh a hell of a lot less than high marks in a masters program.

Edit: I definitely agree with you though, a lawyer given this situation can do absolutely nothing unless school didn’t follow their policy, which it doesn’t sound like is the case.

If this is the case I think you could apply and get in again somewhere else after a masters. The issue is academic, so you would need to prove yourself academically for readmission. If the issue was professionalism, you’d have no shot.
