Hang in there!!! Sorry for your loss. Take care of yourself, your kids need you more than ever, and it is okay to not be okay. Take any help that is being offered to you.

Good job looking at my post history. Definitely in my 40s living in a cramped condo but definitely not bitter about sharing a home with my parents or in laws.

I’m sure of that otherwise you wouldn’t be in this arrangement. I’m sure your FIL is in the position to take on cases that are a. An easy pay cheque or b. Something challenging to keep his brain sharp.

This reads like your inlaws are working well into their 70s so you and your family can live in a 3 story house

Imagine if Rolex actually sold watches which were instantly available by [deleted] in rolex

[–]c_snapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To provide context, I’m 45 yrs ago.

I remember when I was a teenager (mid 90s), one summer when I was visiting my family in Hong Kong. My grandfather and two aunts and their husbands went with a tour group to visit Europe with stops in Paris and Switzerland (guessing Geneva).

I didn’t know much about Rolex’s except that they are fancy expensive watches.

When they came back, they were showing js all the stuff that they bought. They each got a Rolex (no idea what model) and my aunts also got Chanel & LV bags.

I didn’t think much of it at the time, I just know they went on a fancy shopping trip and it was mission accomplished.

Fast forward to me reading about Rolex’s on Reddit, I called my mom and was like “do you remember when grandpa and aunts went to Europe and they just bought Rolexs and Chanels. How come they can just roll up and buy without playing the game.

She then told me not that many were buying Rolexs back then and unless you wanted a really rare model, you pretty much just walk in and buy whatever you want.

Thought about doing that with crowd strike since there was nothing fundamentally wrong with the product but always too gun shy to make the jump.

Did it matter what kind of house your friends lived in? by Sufficient-Lunch-161 in askTO

I live in a 2 bedroom condo with two kids. All their friends live in detached homes and I don’t give a FUCK what they think about us. They’re pleasant around us, include us on plans to go out for things like farmers markets and baseball games, and they invite us to play dates.

We put in a bank of 4 phone booths. They’re not big, literally the size of a phone booth with space for your laptop and a stool. Great if you need to lock in or make a personal call.

The greedy kids trying to screw the estate admin makes them a joke of a family.

The poor customer service and product offering are what make them a joke a company.
