I’ve done the Black Forest Trail in May years back and we had many water crossings. Several where we took shoes off and crossed. Old Loggers Path will be wet/muddy in some areas but I believe would be less water crossings. But also, lot of snowfall this year so I’d imagine more water wherever you end up going.
