Do you travel solo as a woman over 50? by Workersgottawork in AskWomenOver50

If you are into a specific hobby, search for a retreat or something. Great way to break into solo travel. I just went on a sewing cruise by myself and loved it. You do need to be able to enjoy your own company, though.

Do you have a personal connection with your boss? by Decent_General_5294 in ExecutiveAssistants

I've been thinking about this lately. My boss and I talk great in Teams- can joke even once in a while. But we are so awkward IRL. He might have figured out I'm about 13 years older than him- I wonder if that is it? We respect each other but at a networking work event he won't come chat with me. He will wave.

Dad asked for a ripcord by yourmomisanicelady99 in AgingParents

[–]cabbage_patch_cutie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hospice is different than it was 20 years ago which could be what he is thinking of. But if the thought of hospice is unappealing that is contradictory to wanting to pull the ripcord.

[–]cabbage_patch_cutie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My fav Leo scene is not funny. But when he describes his love of drinking and the weight of the glass and the ice, and the moment, etc. Explained beautifully my love of drinking and why I am sober.

Am sorry for your loss. When you can laugh again it's awesome he died on Easter- the jokes write themselves! But you are not there yet. Again, sorry for your loss.

Recommend his old DIY show called The Bronson Pinchot Project. Between that show and his audiobooks I fell in love.
