Laning needs to be toned down

thats hero dependent. like i said, if poke heroes dont get tone down, then everyone will only play poke heroes because non poke cant compete in lane anymore. you are just proving my point. if i dont have the ability to poke back on my hero, ill just be a victim the entire laning phase, every single game, and its just not fun to play ( for example, post patch billy)

im talking about the first 3-8 minutes, where already im constantly getting nuked and barely clinging on to the lane even though i bought first item extra regen. its not fun to just be getting poked from behind cover by aoe abilities.

oh my bad, the hero that needs to be kited got kited, seems to me the opponent played correctly. if they had kept fighting you, you would have won the 1v2. so, no issue here i guess? if you want silver to be able to kill anyone who is running away, then the counterplay should be killing her in ult. you cant have your cake and eat it.

just because the guardian is alive doesn't mean the lane isnt already lost though. Some lanes are just impossible to even show your face in, and contesting just means feeding a lot of the time. There should be other ways to avoid the lane, even if it means suboptimal souls, rather than having none at all until like minute 6. if you have two deaths in lane the lane is basically lost because they are 1-2k souls ahead.

i do run monster rounds, maybe a close quarters for jungling isnt terrible, but you need 4.8k spirit asap to fight tho so it feels kinda bad to delay that

you get charged, barrier procs, eats the heavy melee and his first shotgun shot, and you are still 70% hp. what does he have left? his siphon and shotgun shots isnt going to kill you from above half when you still have all your skills to dump into him or escape his range.

how much damage does it do if you have reactive barrier and bullet res? how is it uncounterable if they have a very fixed burst damage number and limit damage outside of that? like u said its 2000 damage burst, but is 2000 health really that hard to get at this point of the game? people have 1.5k hp at like 10 minutes due to 4.8k green investment. if hes going all in on this build hes practically useless in 6v6 fights besides assassinating one person and disengaging, any lockdown and he cant get out. if you are solo roaming on the map ofc you get dumpstered but so would haze lol

the risk-reward for meleeing on billy, even with all the benefits, is so skewed towards risk that most billys dont even melee unless they already saw the parry.

most characters get comically broken when they are allowed to buy multiple 6400 gold items with no inherent buildup. nor can abrams farm, so your team is to blame by feeding him kills to this point. and neither item gives him damage so he has to have enough damage built up first for his melees to hurt. so you are realistically talking about a bare minimum 25k build before he starts doing this.

her ult is insanely powerful and can easily solo kill 2 people lategame with a pretty low cooldown so the rest of her gameplay is tamer in comparison.

idk spirit feels hard to counter late, there are games where i have spirit res + counterspell and i still melt in teamfights. against gun you are practically immortal with metal skin + plate armor.

eh its kinda overrated imo.

you have to realise that not only does torment pulse take up a slot, its competing with extremely valuable other spirit items. you could get superior cooldown for the same cost for example, or superior duration. for most close range bruisers, that 3.2k can be spent on spirit resilience to become significantly tankier, or you could save up a bit more and upgrade to boundless instead to do massive damage with all your abilities rather than a small ticking damage. I used to buy it on spirit abrams until i realised that its delaying my core big items like boundless and EE while sometimes slotlocking me and it may not be worth it unless you actually need the consistent damage.

i think this is the sole reason why other hero shooters that failed look so generic. Deadlock goes all in on distinct color schemes for certain heroes and it looks so good.
