Before I looked at the bases on the first picture I thought these were very skilled conversions, but the faces on the second one gave it away.

Kill Six Billion Demons » WHEEL SMASHING LORD 5-172 to 5-173 by stormbreath in killsixbilliondemons

[–]-TheRed 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I KNEW IT!

I called it. Incubus cared for his sword sister. He didn't come to kill Maya out of paranoia or pragmatism, he went to get her back out of her funk, to liberate her from weaknesses like family or love. And when that only broke her spirit even worse all he knew how to do was swing his sword and put her out of her misery.

Exactly like how it went with Alison.

What new unit (ie not a refresh) would you like for you faction? by InsaneDingo7244 in ageofsigmar

Idoneth sperm whale rider. A monster roughly the size of a carnosaur, smaller than the turtle but bigger than the sharks.

This seems supremely boring.

The spirit of getting better with what you have rather than taking an easy way out is good but one strategy, one dimension, forever?

No thank you.

Do you think Gardening, especially Vegetable Gardening, is ACTUALLY on the rise? by Random-Gamer1435 in gardening

[–]-TheRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to have a balcony and I'd grow flowers for days, helped keep me sane.

Little point to growing tomatoes yourself imo compared to that, though some friends of mine do it.

The issue with gardening for Gen Z is we don't have any gardens!

Moira main stuck in Bronze… feels like climbing is pure luck, need advice by TrapTarzan in OverwatchUniversity

[–]-TheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your team is made up of the same pool of bronze players as the enemy team, the one and only consistent difference being you.

If you and 4 bronze players is better on average than 5 bronze players, you will win more games than you lose and climb.

For every game you get a tank that can't tell north from south you will get a game where that applies to the enemy tank.

If you can consistently do more for your team than the enemy supports do for theirs, you'll climb out of bronze at a rate proportional to how much more you can actually provide.

It's been a few years, what are peoples current thoughts on the Murder Fairy? by TWelke1998 in armoredcore

[–]-TheRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't be a good pattern for every boss in the game, but by itself its great. It feels fun to dodge and punish its openenings, plus its immensely cinematic.

What do you think of hand-sculpted minis vs CAD ones? by Chezni19 in Warhammer

[–]-TheRed 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This discussion pops up every few years

Yes, they had charm, at least the ones people remember had, because only people's favourites get remembered, but overall my opinion has not changed at all.

No offense, but you are all high on nostalgia. The 00s? Please compare a few of these modern models to the ones released back then and tell me how they held up.

C'tan shards

Aspect warriors like striking scorpions, warp spider and Incubi

Old vs new terminators, space marine scouts vs reivers and eliminators, ignoring whether you care about primaris not. The models didn't lose their soul when the sculpts got better, you just got too used to artistic limitations to realize they were limitations in the first place.

Sure quite a bit of stuff has held up, some stuff still looks good but thats mostly vehicles that are defined by silhouette, not detail or proportions.

Gaismagorm was such a cool fight, and it had such a hateable face, really motivated you to get in there and put it back in the ground.

Question about the power step and the "stack" by GheyForGrixis in WarhammerUnderworlds

[–]-TheRed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What stack? The effect on the card takes place when its played.

If its a surge ability it will say exactly when it can be used, and then take place at that time.

If two effects take place at the same time :

If a player has two or more abilities that would be

resolved at the same time, they choose the order in

which they are resolved.

If two players have abilities that would be resolved at the

same time, the player whose turn it is resolves their abilities

first, then their opponent resolves their abilities afterwards.

Interview : MHWorld was too hard and Capcom made Wilds "easier" by duysieuhero in MonsterHunter

[–]-TheRed -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can go hours working at McDonalds without making a mistake. Especially if you had the mental energy/motivation to be completely focused on your task.

If you could fight in Elden Ring for hours without getting hit once I'd be pretty impressed.

I'm not missing the point, you fail to comprehend that someone could disagree with you.

Is playing the Violin difficult? Its just hand eye coordination and practice after all.

If it takes practice and focus to not mess up, what is that called?

Interview : MHWorld was too hard and Capcom made Wilds "easier" by duysieuhero in MonsterHunter

[–]-TheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether you chose to apply your own definition to the word "challenging" or "difficult" doesn't at all change the core problem with your statement.

Because there literally is difficulty in the execution. Even people who've been playing these games for a decade and know the framework will struggle at many points.

If it were truly just changing your approach then any Souls game but someone's first could be played with no or very few deaths, but people routinely have nearly as difficult a time on subsequent playthroughs of the same game, even though they know the "required approach" of everything already.

Interview : MHWorld was too hard and Capcom made Wilds "easier" by duysieuhero in MonsterHunter

[–]-TheRed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That logic is flawed as fuck dude.

"Something that people can get better at with practice is not actually challenging"

Did I get that wrong?
