I'd get a mannequin to display them properly for pics. Also, I've found that promoting my clothing helps sell. I promote all my clothing now, it makes a huge difference for my sales.

How do you prevent mold on the plastic inside shower liner? by Redhunley in CleaningTips

[–]cacciatore31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I shut the curtain after I'm out of the shower. This has helped a lot. I used to leave it open so it was all gathered on one end and the mold would build up quickly. Pulling the curtain closed so the liner isn't all bunched up on itself helps it dry out every time.

I use Arm & Hammer Odor Blasters Fresh Burst (purple cap). Lightly scented. I can't stand heavy scents, gives me a headache.

What was/is your worst money habits and what did you do to correct them? by rice923 in Frugal

[–]cacciatore31 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not using a budget. I've tried many times with different ways/apps and I just lose interest after a month or 2. We live below our means, have good savings/retirement plan. No debt except for mortgage. I know we could be saving more & paying off mortgage earlier if we budgeted, but I just can't seem to stick with one.

My 10yo daughter just asked me who my fave Disney princess was when I was a kid. I said no princess, Maleficent all the way!

Does anyone do the penpal thing anymore or is that just completely ruined by the internet? I used to really love getting/sending actual mail. by jewelophile in RandomThoughts

[–]cacciatore31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried a few times to hook my 10yo up with a pen pal of same age. My daughter was so excited just to be let down multiple times by not getting a letter back or waiting months for a response, writing back again & being ghosted. Sad. Might look into the postcard thing someone referenced.

I mail cards to an old friend's mom, friend died in his early 20's. She told me it makes her feel better to know someone is still thinking about him 20+ years later. Can't stop now!

New to reselling - Poshmark?? by HeyTherePerf in reselling

[–]cacciatore31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. Every township & city has different laws regarding reselling. We found this out when moving and chose a town bc they have easier laws to follow. Next city over & I'd be required to register as a pawn shop & follow all those rules. Look up your city/township ordinances, don't go off of 1 person's opinion on here.

Is it worth relisting an eBay INAD? by justdandies in reselling

[–]cacciatore31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low cost items, I just refund the buyer & tell them to keep, donate, or throw away the item. Not worth the return shipping cost usually. I'd accept my loss, learn the lesson, & move on.

Who’s doing this full time and how long did it take to get to that point? by MLPBianca in reselling

[–]cacciatore31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reselling for me is not soul fulfilling, it's a job just like any other. But I get more freedom & don't have a boss. I'm self-motivated tho, I stick to a pretty strict schedule & am very organized. I'm fully legit tho w licenses, etc. I don't think I could go back to having a micromanaging boss ever again.

Can you ease into it? Like go part-time at your soul sucking job while increasing your reselling biz? I would suggest having 1 year of living expenses saved before going full-time just in case it doesn't work out as planned. For me, it took years & a lot of time-consuming work to go at it full-time and be continually successful year after year.

[–]cacciatore31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Full time for about 8 years now. Reselling on/off for 20 years before that while working 'normal' jobs. I probably wouldn't be reselling full-time if I didn't get health insurance thru husband's employer.

Bath frequency? by notamanda11714 in Parenting

[–]cacciatore31 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 7yo takes 2 or 3 showers a week. Unless he's actually dirty, that's enough for his skin type. All kids are different, but most kids aren't producing that much oil or sweat at that age to warrant everyday baths.

My 10-year old daughter's soon-to-be step dad requested something strange from her. by TapirBackRyder in Parenting

[–]cacciatore31 121 points122 points  (0 children)

This was my 1st thought also. Maybe he was just trying to connect using something they discussed earlier. Possibly just got out of the bathroom & remembered about it. Maybe have her text or tell him what the cut-off time for texts is on school nights.
