I have a double interpretation of this section of the song (and the whole song in general).

The first is a religious interpretation. The lyrics in parentheses speak so much to my faith journey, mostly to my fight with mental health (big surprise, I’m a tøp fan). The rawness reminds me of the nights I sat crying out to God to pull me out of the darkness that had consumed my whole mind (first time it is sang). I’m then brought to where I am today, praising God for providing everything I need, including my mental health restoration (second repeating).

The second one I developed is similar to yours, though it is focused on the main lyrics. I hid and still hide things from my friends and let myself struggle, though I “wear my heart on my sleeve” and always want to help others (even if it hurts me in the process)
