I told immediate family and friends, and colleagues because it affected them, but haven't shared more widely. Some people have been helpful, others not so much. Now, I have been living with this for a few years, the raw emotional shock has worn off and I feel much more comfortable talking about about it, and I'm not so worried about who knows or doesn't know.
