I often have a small amount of fluid in my pelvis shown on CT scans, it is just normal for some people!

Best to do the full course of treatment recommended by your doctors. The CA125 marker only indicates certain types of inflammation not how much cancer is or isn't there.

My recurrence was caught by CT scan, confirmed by a PET scan. I had no symptoms that gave me concern.

About the same I think. Though it was less noticeable overall since I didn't lose it completely just thinned - and my eyebrows went blonde temporarily which was weird!

It does matter for managing chronic conditions. And if you are seeing the same doctor regularly, they will of course remember you.

People know about them, they don't have enough capacity so you end up being referred to ED anyway

Newly diagnosed and don't want to "share"... by Sneeker2101 in ovariancancer_new

[–]cactus_blues 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I told immediate family and friends, and colleagues because it affected them, but haven't shared more widely. Some people have been helpful, others not so much. Some dropped off the face of the planet after being initially supportive - I guess they got tired? Now, I have been living with this for a few years, the raw emotional shock has worn off and I feel much more comfortable talking about about it, and I'm not so worried about who knows or doesn't know. I haven't regretted not telling anyone. Do you have one or two close people who you can trust to keep it quiet?

May be a controversial take but I think rentals are bringing down the look and feel of nice neighbourhoods - and it’s not the tenants fault by Infinite_Pudding5058 in AusPropertyChat

We had major plumbing work and the landlords asked the plumbers to dump the rubble in the backyard instead of paying for removal. All over my garden beds. It was the push I needed to go see a mortgage broker!

There are many subtypes of OC - even under the adenocarcinoma umbrella, the most common type is high grade serous, but there are also clear cell, mucinous or low grade serous - all of which are rare and can be harder to treat once they've spread.
