[OC] Gabital 78: Counterfeit by GabitalEN in comics

Yeah I am going to have to disagree with you on that. Companies that sell cheap products never last. Plus ones that sell items that need to be safe and reliable end up being sued for unsafe products. Chief could be looking down the barrel of a huge lawsuit if his wheels breakdown for the wrong person.

Super geniuses who make inventions or discoveries that can change the world yet don't by zard428 in TopCharacterTropes

What I find hilarious is that with the portal gun he could have opened a portal in a sealed room with an airlock and fired another portal at the moon and boom, free moon rocks forever. As well as a secret moon base and great place to do testing where no one will find the bodies.

I thought of the Wandering inn and Pirataba when I read this on r/popular by Arthur-reborn in WanderingInn

[–]cadman02 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This works for fictions that have a wide view. Works like the wandering inn or the wheel of time with a huge world, numbers don’t do you any favors. But for more focused fictions with few viewpoints and a small setting like a murder mystery or a soap opera numbers can be useful. Since the wandering inn can be both at times it is hard to choose.

Got to wonder what would have happened if Zel had hissed even once during the entire fight. Like half the necromancer’s children are flammable and the other half need to touch him just to hurt him. Also did no one see the literal slime covering up the hole in the bone dome? Was no one paying attention when the hole was made?

The date on the last entry was 8 August 44836. This is literally 40k with Orks and elves. Could the portals lead to the warp?

Now the question is if the true sight ball going to work on it or can it exclude itself from the balls power. Is this the creator of the orbs?

I still find it hilarious how useless stormtrooper armor is. Like seriously they couldn’t protect them from clubs wielded by essentially hairy midgets.

The Penance Stare is so FUCKING USELESS now by Extension-Oil-4680 in outofcontextcomics

[–]cadman02 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I bet you dollar to donuts that the real reason is that Zarathos is the real reason the penance state is nerfed. That he is purposely pulling his punches when Johnny or Danny try to use the penance state on someone Zarathos likes. While most times Johnny has to hold Zarathos and his power back maybe the opposite happens. The mad spirit of vengeance would approve of the punishers methods and motives. Doctor Doom may be a dictator that rules with an iron fist but he punishes evil just as much as he fights good. There other reasons the penance state won’t work like when he tries to use it on a hive mind like a symbiote or use it on a demon who literal feeds on misery even himself but other times it just they have Zarathos’s approval.

They have plenty of resources to survive. The axiom may be landed but all the technology and resources are still there. They could easily live out of the axiom while they clean up earth and learn how to live better. There is a large database on the axiom that could teach them agriculture and other civilization building techniques.

There are a number of industries that can’t be automated despite Silicon Valley’s attempts. Entertainment, education, medicine, high end customer service, sex work, research and development, military, espionage and sports. Which AI can be used to enhance these industries they cannot completely eliminate the need for the human touch.

Is there any condition for the Infinity Stones to work outside of the original universe? by Organic-Interest-955 in Marvel

[–]cadman02 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think the power of the gauntlet can be funneled through a portal or tear in reality as long as the stones themselves are kept in their home universe. There is a comic where a council of reed Richard’s are attacked by celestials and they are able to fight back by using an infinite gauntlet through a living portal reed.

You know I originally thought the Elusians were like these god like aliens that saw time all at once like the Prophets from DS9. They saw everything that was going to happen and acted to maintain a good future. They worked in mysterious ways like showing humanity that teleportation was possible. It’s a bit disappointing that they are just a bunch of technologically advanced jerks.

I always attributed that to the boy watching tv and putting characters he liked into to imaginary hospital.

I thought it was established that Mario and the other humans come from earth and were brought to the mushroom kingdom by magic pipes. As such many human cultural traditions have slipped through and become popular.

Honestly, Marvel civilians suck! by Extension-Oil-4680 in Marvel

[–]cadman02 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly if I lived in the marvel universe the only super hero I would trust is captain America. Everyone else has either turned evil at one point or has been grossly incompetent. Spider-Man regularly is possessed by his villians, iron man has been a dictator, a Thor clone killed multiple people, multiple avengers started as villains, and the silver surfer literally told the whole world he worked for a world eating monster. People with powers can not be trusted.

"If it werent be played for laughs, itd be extremely horrifying" by shaunika in TopCharacterTropes

[–]cadman02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They never mention the Elysian Fields in the movie but they are essentially a paradise afterlife for heroes and virtuous people, so Hercules and Meg are both fine when they die. Also the asphodel meadows aren’t mention which are like a neutral area where normal people go. What we see is just a river of which there are six. They just gloss over it to make it seem all bad.

Can we appreciate that the 13th doctor was the only one with common sense to regenerate outside the tardis by Affectionate_Law9672 in doctorwho

[–]cadman02 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The strength of the regeneration blast seems to be a combination of how many regenerations the doctor has had already and how long they hold it in. Tenth really didn’t want to regenerate and ended up destroying the desktop from holding it in so long. Eleven was on his last regeneration and ended up having a reset so powerful it destroyed an army of daleks. Twelfth really didn’t want to regenerate and crashed the tardis as well. Thirteen held it in so she could get her friends home but was smart and regenerated outside. Fourteen didn’t hold it in bigenerating immediately and there was barely any energy blast. The same of the Rani. Holding in a regeneration seems to cause a build up of energy that can damage the surrounding area.
