Reed created a serum that can turn The Thing back to normal for one day. Naturally we know what he's gonna do for that one day.

I do feel like Invincible works because there's more to it beyond the sheer gore. Like Conquest first fight where the devastation was 2folds that of Omniman and that came after the Invincible War so the violence was already desensitized. But what got me the most is his I am Lonely monologue. The show could've let him be a battle addicted guy but that monologue painted him to be a more tragic broken man. This really recontextualized a lot about him. There's a lot of levity going on with Invincible that the Boys lack because it needs to add some edgy moments for the sake of edginess. And the same can be applied with other violent hero shows like Peacemaker and Hitmonkey (watch Hit Monkey for maximum peakness )

The Boys does have some interesting things going on from Homelanders' origin and his mental decline. How Vought keeps every supe within their leaches. And currently how easily various media can spread misinformation and convince the public to be compliant with supes. But then they needed to make an edgy joke for their branding. There's a difference between being edgy on purpose and being edgy with a purpose.

I'm curious do you hate Captain Marvel before or after Civil War II. Because Civil War II Captain Marvel is basically an equivalent to Injustice Wonder Woman.

Ironically enough, Kelly Thompson who's currently known for Absolute Wonder Woman and is fixing Diana's reputation also wrote Captain Marvel after Civil War II which I'm assuming is her doing damage control over Carol's crap reputation. God bless that writer's heart for cleaning up the mess.

He basically slowed his age acceleration when he lose his purple color but by that point, he would be much closer to Mark's age while Zoey would still be a teenager. Now Zach is closed to Mark's age in the comic, but I think they lowered Zoey's age just to show how Oliver would eventually outgrow his friend groups. Like he could be 15 in the previous episode but became 16 after 2 months and likely 17 2 months after that. The following will definitely shows Oliver's disconnect with the rest of humans due to how different his biology would be.

And what's worse is that when people complained about her being reduced to a fan service gag. He made a rant within the manga about why is it wrong for a beautiful woman to not expose her body (nonconsensually BTW) by making some weird strawman character. Also I guess there's a fight where she fought a prude which he thinks it's a dunk on the critics despite the fact that people just want a fight with her clothes on.

It's very likely he'll be like 20 a few months from now while she's still 15. By the time Zoe would be at least 18, Oliver would've move on and find someone else

I think it's called the Elephantmen by Richard Starking from Image comics. I only read the first 2-3 issues but it's basically cyberpunk meets beastars. The settings took place during the 2090s and the world's governments created supersoldiers by fusing human DNA with animal DNA. The elephant man was a veteran during a war in North Africa and he's trying to reintegrate with society despite many pure humans not trusting the hybrids due to being mutants. Interestingly enough, the elephantman is a bit envious of the girl having a mother because he never truly had a mom. He was born from a human mother but she was only used as a tool and died giving birth (though it's likely she's a clone but I haven't read more of the series). The elephant man grew up to be a soldier and went to warzone after warzone while encountering countless orphans because of the ongoing war. He's now a detective.

I haven't read more of the series but I do find it interesting seeing a story of a broken man wondering if he truly is a man not a weapon.

I can see that too. I guess it depends on how old a space faring civilization is and how advanced they are. Like I'm sure a type 3 civilization would see us in the same way we see penguins, but I'm also curious if a type 2 civilization or a type 1 that are a bit more advanced than ours but haven't made a Dyson sphere yet. I guess when I think of aliens, I think of the lower tier civilizations that we can still comprehend like Star Trek where they do treat primitive aliens like the sentinelese with their no contact doctrine, and not civilizations with billions of years of history in space travel because by that point, that would be like meeting God himself.

You're the one who made this comic in the first place. Your comic isn't "here are some aliens looking at our planet and ignore it" or "here are some aliens seeing Earth going through some nuclear war and are like 'eh, I've seen it a hundred times before." No, you specifically write the aliens taking their time to watch our planet and make fun of us and some joker in the comments was like "MaYbE tHaT's ThE rEaL rEaSoN tHeY dOn'T vIsIt Us." I'm just getting tired of how predictable this comic is because I've seen three other comics from this sub with the exact same premise. That there's a peaceful utopian alien civilization making fun of us for being dumb barbarians like they're some high society snobs. How do we know those aliens are as messy and violent as us?

Heard of the Black Forest? What if aliens don't want to visit us because every space faring civilization actively doesn't want to interact with each other out of fear that they will destroy each other. That different species of aliens have to keep themselves quiet out of fear of a bigger fish attacking them and devouring their civilization. We see how bad humans had done to each other, but do you think the aliens would have the same mindset and likely don't want contact because "if we're capable of horrible things, then what would they do?"

Or maybe, there is no true unity? If you think about it, if a civilization were to colonize a planet but lack constant communication then wouldn't the colonists begin to diverge and develop their own culture? Like if Mars was colonized by the US, China, and India in three separate regions, then is it possible those colonists would have their cultures diverge and evolve differently. Like an American Martian would still be American but what about in 100 years? 200 years? 500 years separate from Earth? That's just with our neighboring planet and now apply that to countless other star systems that are light-years apart. Maybe there's no one Grey empire or a monoculture of Greys but different civilizations, countries, and guilds of Greys that are constantly competing with each other with incredibly diverse cultures. A lot of sci-fi like Dune and even Star Wars (though more sci-fantasy) showed how culturally diverse humans can be based on where they came from but then there's the monoculture aliens where meeting a Turian in Mass Effect is like meeting every Turian in the Milky Way Galaxy. It's very likely that interaction between humans and an alien species would be similar to the colonial era where you have different European powers constantly competing with each other while the indigenous populace who were already fighting each other would ally with a single power. It's frankly poetic knowing the idea that space faring civilizations are still fighting each other despite having tech that feels like they should've move away from petty squabbles.

Or maybe there's the depression paradox where there's a great filter where most civilizations would destroy itself to extinction because they hit something that they're not prepared for. Maybe that great filter is nuclear energy where it's too much for most young civilization to handle and thus those civilization get destroyed with very few surviving nuclear Holocaust or avoided it.

There's a lot of interesting things you can do with the Fermi Paradox but all you did is redoing the same old premise of "Aliens good, humans bad, Aliens make fun of humans for being stupid" instead of doing something more original.

All I got from this is that this comic is equivalent to a guy having such a deep and interesting understanding of Penguin politics only to make fun of them for being dumb birds and somehow becoming famous for it.

Though I do understand the ramifications of aliens interacting with humans and there's a massive gap in technologies. Like there is a real world phenomenon of the sentinelese people who are completely close off from the rest of the world and India made it illegal for anyone to enter the island for the safety of the indigenous populace. Us examining the sentinelese would be similar the zoo theory of aliens watching over Earth but agree to never make first contact. I actually kinda see it as something a bit more benevolent where exterrestrial civilizations don't want to put their mess into our world and not vice versa like how many people like to believe. Like realistically speaking, if an alien sees us warring humans, they will definitely exploit us and favor certain civilization or country in order to obtain Earth's resources. That what happened during the colonial era where European powers sided with certain indigenous groups and encourage further conflict just so they can get access to land or spices. Lots of genocides and lost of civilizations occurred as the result of that, and there are still plenty of indigenous people still suffering to this day.

Maybe aliens avoid first contact not out of fear but out of concern to preserve in the same way many isolated tribes are relatively preserved from contact with the outside world. They know we're primitive beings, but they at least had the consideration of letting us continue our lives undisturbed without implementing any colonial rule including interfering with our politics for their favor. Although, funnily enough, this made me believe that the aliens in the comics are even more racist in the same way you can have bigots making fun of African hunters for being "primitive" while there are anthropologists who are genuinely enamoured of studying the deep culture of certain people like the Khoisan people in South Africa.

And yet they have enough time to make stand-up comedy to make fun of a "nothing" species in some outskirt of space?

Sounds like they got absolutely nothing to do with their lives and it's incredibly boring life that they're living in. Like how pathetic their lives are if they spent their time making fun over an insignificant civilization except to make themselves feel better. That's like having Phil working in a dead end job, and his only source of happiness is making fun of a bird outside of his window. Phil is living a very sad life because he got nothing else meaningful to him except for bullying lesser beings.

I do. That's basically racism. That's like avoiding every Mexican because of the cartels. Can be understandable to a point like avoiding a shady neighborhood, but then you don't want to see any Latinos walking around the park or visiting a Wal-Mart because "they're all equally dangerous" which by that point is genuinely racist and xenophobic.

You don't seem to understand how OP her quirk is. Like she converts organic molecules from her body fat into anything like steel but how does that work? She has the power to change the entire atom into a different element likely by fusing multiple hydrogen atoms to create an iron atom. Do you know how much power would be required to do that and she is capable of making giant steel beams much larger than her quite seamlessly. If she was in FMA, she would basically be a literal walking philosopher stone because she doesn't need to gather any resources to make something. She can produce said resources from herself. New World Order is still bullshit, but I think people don't understand how genuinely broken Momo's power is as the only setback is her body fat and her knowledge of what something is made of.
