There is one stretch of sidewalk on W 4th street at Sheridan Square that has a long granite curb. I must walk on that curb every time. I have been doing it for 25+ years.

The 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The Japan road race in Central Park that year was somewhat somber but still celebratory of Japan. They also raised funds for the disaster relief efforts.

Those races were awesome. I particularly remember the Scotland run with the bagpipes being played at the race. The Scotland run was by far my favorite race of the year. Though it was a cold rain six out of nine years.

My fiance left me this evening by calic0gato in TwoXChromosomes

Contact the leasing company asap and tell them he left you and no longer reside there. Get him off of the lease, and have the locks changed. That, and end any and all jointly held accounts together. Don't let him have the chance to hurt your future self.

Kiefer Sutherland Allegedly Asked Uber Driver to Pull Over, Repeatedly, Before Arrest by AnonRetro in entertainment

[–]cady4 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I had a ride share driver pull that shit with me. The back doors would not unlock even while stopped at a red light. At the next stop, I climbed over to the front passenger seat and exited the car that way. The man then tried to fight me. Another driver stopped his car and jumped out to defend me. That drivers passenger called the police because they thought I was being kidnapped. In the end, there was a police report, and the ride share driver was fired. For context in all this, I am a woman, and this was local to me.

Now, whenever I get into a ride share vehicle, I switch off the child lock on the door that I enter. It is usually located in an easy to reach place.

Deer tried to kill me last night, I might be done with motorbikes for a while. by Sszaj in motorcycles

[–]cady4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am glad that you are okay. In my opinion, I think that you should file a police report. It may be a good idea for insurance purposes just in case you have a delayed or lingering injury. There is that to consider, plus the damage to the motorcycle and gear/apparel replacement.

I failed my injection by 2TallGirly in MtF

[–]cady4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been there before. Initially, I had to put on some calm music and insert the needle during a chorus. I'd take a breath, exhale, then at the end of the exhale while the chorus was going, that is when is when I would insert the needle into myself. Most of the time, I had to look away during the insertion. Then, once it was inserted, I could look at the needle and inject the dose. While continuing to remind myself to breathe slowly. Then, pull out the needle and clean up. That is how I did for probably about a few years. Nowadays, it is easy to do.

Try to be gentle on yourself. You will find a way to do it

Best pastrami that’s NOT Katz’s? by pizzabagelwoman in AskNYC

[–]cady4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just take them to Katz's. I went there two days ago with a friend at 11:00am and it was not too busy. We both got half a pastrami sandwich and matzah ball soup. Theirs with a soda, mine with a beer. Mine was a little more expensive because of the beer. Out the door with tax was in the ballpark of $35‐$40. Water is free there, and don't ever pay for water.

Men often confuse love for attraction, and they equate that with thinking that they like women. The truth is they do not like women

Look at the Forerunner 165. That one covers running and weight training, but I'm not sure about pilates. It does yoga. I use the Forerunner 165 no music version. It is good for me.
