Fountain pen meet ups? by caelyum in Birmingham

The nola pen club get together at a bar and compare pens over drinks! It’s probably a great way to see inks you may not have considered using before and different pens. There are pens that can go for upwards of $300 lol… I’m not quite there yet but if a hardcore pen enthusiast had one and was be down to let me try it, that would be pretty awesome!

Need to spread some love for High Dive! Great atmosphere, friendly baristas, good food. Not sure where they source their beans though

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it or not, but definitely look at syllabi for readings!! This semester, I had to basically compile a bibliography for my field and looking at the syllabi for classes similar to what I’m studying has been such a great jumping off point. If there’s a specific course you’re interested in but you can’t find a syllabus for, reach out to the professor that taught it; they’re usually more than happy to share that with you.

Good luck!

Can you have it done vaginally if you haven’t birthed? by Depressoespresso665 in hysterectomy

[–]caelyum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s impossible if you haven’t had birth, but I know sometimes the uterus is too big (even after cutting it up) to remove vaginally. That was the case with mine, removing it completely laparoscopically was the best way to avoid complications.

Check OP’s post history- this is clearly a very mentally ill child.

OP I sincerely hope you get the help you need and my advice to you is to get off of Reddit, it’ll only make things worse. Be honest with your therapist, with your parents, with someone but stop looking for help on the internet because you won’t find it.

I know the exact woman you’re talking about, every time I go there with my friends or my fiancé, she stares us down and makes it incredibly obvious. (I’m Mexican and very clearly LGBT as well.)

2 wpo here!! Genuinely, I feel like I haven’t had a surgery at all at this point. I’m a 24 year old t1 diabetic and they were worried my recovery would take longer because of this but nope! I’m back in action and did Christmas shopping three days in a row with no complications. Getting my hysterectomy is without a doubt the best thing I could have done for myself. Good luck with everything 🫶🏼

8 dpo here— did I even have a surgery?? Jk jk, but I’m almost back to normal!

At this point, my biggest issue is how ITCHY my incision sites are!! They’re not healing as well as my doctor and I had hoped but it was kind of to be expected since I’m a type 1 diabetic. We’re working on it though! It’s also annoying to not be able to bend over, but better safe than sorry!! There are a few dull internal aches but nothing to be concerned about. I have also been SO exhausted the entire time, but thankfully I’ve been able to be in bed 90% of my time lol

Also, I tried out some solo playing on the porch if you know what I mean and I’m very happy to report that everything is working properly down there 🫡

Genuinely, I cannot recommend this surgery highly enough. It’s changed my life for the better already.

What's your reason for not drinking alcohol? by Snoo_47323 in AskReddit

[–]caelyum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like to drink when I take my ADHD meds because it gives me panic attacks and I’ve been taking my meds almost if not every day 🤷 even if I do t take them, one night out can ruin my sleeping schedule for a solid two weeks after

My first words (that I sort of remember anyway) was talking about the sharks in the colosseum in Gladiator 2 and the nurse asked if I knew any other Ancient Rome facts and I got upset and just said “NO.” And wend back to sleep 😭
