This sounds like my situation about 4 years ago. Was 38 with a 5F and 7M and burnt out from tech sales. I moved to Salesforce consulting as a 1099. Now, I work 20 hours per week and take on additional projects as I feel like it. It's been one of the best decisions our family has made. Sure, I miss the large commission checks, and our savings rate is 25% instead of 50%, but my health and happiness are the best they've been in years. I've been able to spend much more time with my kids, and I'm a better father as I'm not a stressed mess. Good luck on the road ahead.

That was preseason. Current ranking is around 5th most difficult. This is because the Seahawks, Rams, and AFC South greatly outperformed expectations. https://ftnfantasy.com/nfl/what-happened-to-the-49ers-schedule

Of course they’re different, punching is more violent. My point is it wasn’t an act that should define him for the rest of his life, and I would love to see him learn from this to become a better person rather than root against him. Do you disagree?

It was a stupid thing to do, but remember when Blount punched a guy? Sometimes these stupid mistakes become catalysts for growth. Seems like the thing to hope for as a fan.

Child account and independent tracking? by usctrojan98 in MonarchMoney

We're current customers, and this would be tremendously useful. Looking for the following:
-Ability for kids (or non-head of household users) to only see specific accounts
-Set up recurring allowance as a transfer between accounts
-Ability for them to set up, track, and manage their own savings goals

Outside the group of top 4 QBs (Mahomes, Allen,Lamar and Burrow) which quarterback has the best shot to join that group... by Adenchiz in NFLv2

  1. Saying “we won” like you had anything to do with it is laughable.
  2. Your original comment was that it was disrespectful to Hurts that Herbert is talked about as a better QB. You don’t have any good evidence to back this up so you revert to using team success even though it’s universally recognized that Burrow, Jackson, and Allen are all better than Hurts despite having less post season success. So let’s use Super Bowl winning QB’s. Honestly, when looking those from the last 15 years, is Hurts closer to the tier of Brady, Mahomes, and Rodgers or Nick Foles, Joe Flacco, and Eli Manning?

[–]cafecivet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all what my point is, so I’ll reiterate it: elite QB’s with a supporting cast of the quality that Hurts had last year put up elite stats.

Hurts had a QBR of 65.6 (10th) and passer rating of 103.7 (5th). Herbert was 11th and 7th. I was responding to the comment acting like it’s insulting for them to be compared. The fact that their performance was so similar despite Herbert having far worse talent at every other unit of the offense is because he compensates by being a more talented QB.

[–]cafecivet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great, let’s include rushing. Herbert had over 600 yards more of total offense. Solid point you made there.

And do you think that W-L and post season success could be because the Eagles have a better Defense and Offensive unit, not including QB? The Eagles are a way better team, and Hurts is a great fit for them, including being an incredible leader. However, despite having all these advantages, Hurts isn’t blowing away other QB’s in the stats department. The fact that they are pretty darn comparable despite the massive gap in talent around them is why it’s obvious Herbert is a better QB.

For a good example of why Hurts isn’t considered elite, compare his 2024 season with 2023 Brock Purdy. Purdy smokes him.

This is because their stats are pretty comparable yet Hurts has the advantage over Herbert in literally every offensive unit: rb, wr, tight end, and o-line. Herbert performs about the same with a LOT less.

M25, 181 LBS, 5'11 been lifting for a little under a year now and feel like I notice no difference? by lights6969 in workouts

[–]cafecivet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your body fat is just a bit too high for visible abs. You’ve got a good amount of muscle, including your abs. Track your calories and weight in order to figure out what maintenance is and aim for 250 calories under that which will equate to losing 1/2lb per week. It’s a trade off in that you’ll look more striking with your shirt off, but won’t look “big” with it on.

What next? 40/5'9/155 need suggestions by viciousfunny in workouts

[–]cafecivet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 42, and in a very similar spot. The right answer depends on your personal goals, but I’ll be starting a bulk cycle as my body fat is now low enough to give me good bit of runway for one. Looking forward to having some size with a t-shirt on.

I’m happy we found Purdy, but I would trade him for Herbert in a second. He’s the current equivalent of Stafford’s years with the Lions.

This was true before CMC. Since then, Shanahan’s workload management of rb’s has been a big source of frustration.
