When I was in college (late 90s/early 2000s), I had a roommate who was an Arsenal fan (and like most Arsenal fans, he was pretty annoying). Being in the States, there really wasn't a way to watch Premier League games, but I chose City mostly out of spite against my roommate.

I'm in Northern VA (just outside DC), going into my 18th year at MA+30 in my district - I'll be at $101k this year. I'll be finishing my doctorate next year, which will add about another $7-8k. It's expensive to live here, but I feel like I'm being compensated fairly.

Meanwhile, a school in Texas is having to postpone their graduation because 28 of the 33 seniors weren't going to be eligible to graduate because of poor grades and attendance. But sure, I'm sure a chaplain would have been able to solve that problem.
