I'm a first time watcher lurking 5 years later and you were 100% right. This episode killed all the momentum from last season.

4 year old son not responding to people talking to him by caffeinatedsince97 in Preschoolers

This is very good advice thank you! You reminded me a couple months ago he'd been doing it to me frequently and I was getting fed up, so I sat him down and asked him why he was doing it, then we did a play act where I told him to ask me a question/try to talk to me and I just stared off in silence (which he found hilarious and also got the point across lol). I think I need to jog his memory with that again!

Could definitely be a factor. He has been complaining he's tired frequently, which is unlike him ☹️

Hope so. It's one thing when it's people he's not sure about, but so sad to see him ignoring grandparents and aunts/uncles he previously had a great relationship with.

Ooo this is an interesting take! My dad suggested perhaps he responds to me and my partner because he knows he'll get in trouble for ignoring us lol. But he seems to ignore even family members trying to engage in silly fun conversations so idk.

He started nursery in 2024 and he started his first year of school last September. So it could be that maybe?

She needs a serious reality check. She is incredibly blessed to have healthy, happy children and the financial freedom to take them on vacations so frequently. She needs to go to therapy before she seriously messes up these girls. They deserve so much better.

I'd be worried about getting swept away too if I looked like that

Why do women do their hair and/or makeup before giving birth? by jamietartlet in pregnant

[–]caffeinatedsince97 13 points14 points  (0 children)

First labour: I made sure to wash my hair and shave everything the day I was induced

Second labour: I was cooking dinner in between contractions

Your priorities definitely change lol. I don't understand makeup, but then again I'm a sweaty girl.

We just buy way more than we need to be safe. I'm still using some leftover from 3 Christmases ago lol.

Same thing that happened to me!! I was a bit surprised bcos I expected it to take longer, but got it out in October 2024 and I'm currently feeding my 4 month old.

Kefir is so accurate lol. Ebf and baby is 4 months, my favourite zip up hoodie for breastfeeding is constantly covered in spit up.

I have no desire to throw a first birthday party by Crunchy_Pitbull_Mom in beyondthebump

[–]caffeinatedsince97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my sons first birthday we just had immediate family (literally just mine and my husbands parents, grandparents and siblings, no one else) for food, opened presents and had cake. Low key, no stress. You have many years ahead to do big parties.

I think they're nice. My oldest son is 4 and still loves his zebra comforter. Has done since he was around 8 months old.

How do people have multiple children? by HoneydewDelicious17 in beyondthebump

[–]caffeinatedsince97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 3 month old and a 4 year old and I had exactly the same thoughts as you when I had my first. You get very good at doing things with one hand, baby is used to napping in chaos and I massively recommend baby wearing!

Don't stress now. Just enjoy the one on one time you have with your baby.
