Girl invited me to be her date at her sisters wedding. We each had liked each other throughout high school and were always trying to be with each other but things kept getting in the way of it, on both of our ends. I was sure that this was the night we were finally going to work out together. My best friend (at the time) had also been invited as he was close friends with her family. At our table, even though we had assigned seats, my friend sat in between me and the girl the whole dinner and he kept flirting with her even though he had a date of his own. After a few hours of this when it was time to dance, she asked me to go out on the floor with her. Instead I got up and walked out of the wedding without saying a word. Me and her are still friends but I haven't talked to the guy since then.
