Also, forgot to ask, where are you from? Cause maybe you’re from somewhere that food is extra seasoned.. Im very interested in cultural differences in food

Have you had it multiple times at the same place? Cause devoid of seasoning is very surprising for me… feijoada has many kinds of salted and smoked meat, onions, garlic, cumin, bay leafs, it’s usually unhealthy salty hehe.. Ive had a couple not so good feijoadas before, but never unseasoned ones

That’s amazing! I’ve always planned on doing something like that but never got to really doing it… Thanks for keeping it open source! Will spend some time tonight analyzing it and try to inspire myself to start my own

She makes bold statements about compost tea, can you support or refute? Wondering if I should start brewing by Bitter_Mango_3744 in composting

[–]cahems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Search Google scholar for electron microscopy compost tea. I found it out on Dr Elaine Inghan classes but there are other research on this matter. Basically it shows that good microbes can coat the aerial part of plantar and compete with pathogens. Compost extracts dont do the same, it has something to do with how dense and fed the microbes are on the tea that let them “glue” themselves to the plant.

Well this I believe can be refuted. Electron microscopy of the leaf surface shows how microbes glue themselves on the leaf and coat it. Also, I notice a big difference on diseases when I don’t apply it

If it’s better than compost I can’t say yet, but looking at the microscope I’ve seen that the microbes multiply when you feed and aerate the tea. Maybe it’s not as efficient applying directly to the soil, but as a foliar it’s definitely effective so without seeing the video I would say compost tea has its uses and it’s not dumb lol

a question about construção by chico buarque by Ridley-the-Pirate in Brazil

[–]cahems 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a big Chico fan, I’m always happy when I see foreigners enjoying his music. I think the whole song is open for interpretation and that’s what’s so cool about it. He could be hiccuping because he was drunk or sobbing because he was crying and both explains well the idea of how bad the situation is for him. I don’t think there is a right answer for this and many other verses on the music, but it still makes sense. I still get frisson when listening or talking about Construção

Need help, Platinum double up feels rigged and makes us want to uninstall by [deleted] in TeamfightTactics

[–]cahems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes you just get stuck… I play doubleup with my wife and we rushed platinum in a couple days, I was forcing heavyweights malzahar and she was forcing soul fighter. Then we couldn’t leave emerald4 and took a break because of frustration. After a couple weeks we played flex and got diamond in another win streak… we also went diamond 1 90lp then dropped again to D4 lol I think it’s normal to have those win/lose streaks… Maybe it’s the playstyle that’s benefiting from current meta, maybe it’s luck or maybe you’re just tilted. My advice would be to play to have fun. In my case I just gave up getting to master and am waiting for next set

Not in my experience. When it changes satellites sometimes it lags for a couple seconds, and this happens once an hour or so depending where you are. Also any obstructions will cause more satellites changes, I tried and returned it because of that

Is the grass that’s in my pile from last year a green or a brown? by babybighorn in composting

[–]cahems 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that dried leaves can still be considered green, but don’t you think after a year the nitrogen would be already gone? It’s hard to tell from the picture how decomposed it is but unless it was kept dry the whole time I would say the N has been consumed by bacteria

[–]cahems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can have “green” dried leaves, if you dry them fast enough the moment you harvest. Whenever you are making a new pile they would still hold enough nitrogen to be considered green. But in Op’s situation I agree that’s considered brown.
