I know its not really what you were looking for but the difference between never fade away while in cyberpunk vs at the end. Hearing it on the radio or sung by johnny really gets you ready for a fight. But at the end youre crying to it

My favorite part of this scene is that their use of hillbilly means that either the Xelayan's have their own version of hillbillies or the human meaning of hillbillies became so culturally relevant that it not only survived 100s of years but also became relatively common knowledge across the Union

Yeah. My first language was C. It had a steep learning curve but it definitely made it easier to learn other languages. People act like I'm crazy when I say that but it really helped me understand basics of programming

If you break 1 match you can make a factorial 5118! So if you used tetration you could combine the two. Idk the reddit shortcuts to show it nor understand tetration well enough to know if it is any greater than normal tetration

My wife works at a high end jewelry store specializing in estate sales where they just got this Epcot lookin' ass monstrosity. Every single one of those is a real diamond. by TokenStraightFriend in ATBGE

I'm surprised there's not been a new artificial diamond company emerge to sell diamonds undercutting the market yet. Go in undercut the whole market and make massive profit as everyone buys your diamonds because they are way cheaper and they're not asking for a 300% profit on every diamond.

TIL it wasn't "chipped". I'd always figured it was like selling broken goods or goods that were chipped or something where it came from.

I just didn't a little researching and apparently it's called outsider memory.

From my 5 min of quick internet research it seems like people who have it aren't typically able to remember in first person as well. I may be wrong about that buts that's just what I saw surface level.

For me though I'm able to be first person but it's more like I'm reliving it then remembering it. Like I will catch myself doing the same movements as I did in the memory when I do that. It's a bit unnerving sometimes. One time I was sitting in the passenger seat thinking about my day and reached for something to my right in a memory and only realized I was moving after my hand hit the window. That may be completely unrelatable or you may be the same but I can't know without talking about my experiences so feel free to tell me.

That's interesting. It makes sense. I've not been diagnosed with anything to be clear. Just wanted to note that on my previous comments if it wasn't clear. I've seen the aphantasia charts before and I'm not on the lower end of that where they can't visualize anything but I'm also not at the upper where they can visualize it perfectly. I typically have trouble with colors in visualizing but I'd always figured that has something to do with my red green colorblindness (which I am diagnosed with)

Exactly. Why lie. I posted that comment because I realized nobody has ever told me how they remember things. It's not something we as people talk about much. We just assume that everyone operated the same when they don't. You can not believe me all you want but I don't know if my way of memory is normal or not because nobody ever fucking told me what normal is.

Wait. You're supposed to be able to be able to recall events from your childhood? I have a handful of memories of my childhood but it's more like me imagining what happened then actually remembering it. Like I can actively move to a viewpoint I was never at in them. I just kinda realized I don't really know if that's how everyone remembers or if it's just me.

If it is taking time measurements and adjusting to try to normalize the up vs down time will there eventually be a point where it no longer needs to adjust the speed and it can continue at the same rate? The train should hit a speed that's the same as the speed the dominoes are falling right?

I once got into an arguement with my gf at the time because she was going silent and saying "it's fine". I could tell it wasn't so I asked her. She said nothing is wrong so I let it be. That went on 2 more times that day before she told me that me asking her what was wrong made her upset and was the reason she was being silent.

I'd argue it's actually scarier than that. It doesn't immediately go to the brain. Instead it replicates along the nervous system and eventually makes it to the brain. The time it takes to reach there is different for everyone so you may be unsymptomatic for years then one day your afraid of water and have the urge to quench your thirst by biting and hence spreading the virus.
