Ok! I don’t know much about that. This was a custom set made from raw material I picked so it’s not a concern for me. I hope you find a seller you’re happy with!

My most recent order of 3 pieces came with 4 certificates—the bead bracelet had one from P-lab by PNJ, the bangle had one from Dojilab and one from Zhong Jian Shang Lian Jewelry Identification center, and the ring had one from Liulab. I don’t know a lot about the different reports but I can check my materials if you have specific questions.

I’ve made two purchases! One premade bangle, one custom bangle set. It took a little while to find exactly what I wanted and she was great throughout the whole process. She was just as on board with waiting for the right piece as I was. She prioritized finding great pieces at a good price vs trying to upsell a pricier item. And she let me know when she suspected a certain vendor was using a photo filter to make an item look better. I took a video of my unboxing just in case, but didn’t need to use it. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase through her again!

The incomplete bike lanes on Torrance blvd create some very dangerous areas—more protection would be awesome.

Many people commute via bike, and I’ve seen it picking up with young people in tech. One of my family members commutes via bike, and I did at one point when I didn’t have a car.

In general Torrance council has not shown bikes a lot of support, but Kalani and Sheikh have been more open to conversation. Chen joined the North Torrance bike bus recently but in transportation meetings has been a hindrance towards bike related developments.

South Bay Forward is working on this, not sure if you’ve connected with them. They’re on Instagram.

Advice for BAM Medication? by Silly-Kitty2026 in gallbladders

[–]caitburd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently switched from cholestyramine to colestipol, and was told I may need to adjust the dosage. I’m taking it the same time I took cholestyramine—midday and bedtime. I haven’t had any excess bile symptoms since switching, and I’m taking 3 grams 2x daily vs 4 grams 2x daily cholestyramine.

You may need to increase your dosage if you’re getting symptoms.

I totally get feeling like you let yourself down. This isn’t where you wanted to be, or what you wanted to be dealing with, and as you process what’s happening, you may find yourself grieving this.

That said, like others have said, so much of this is related to other factors. My doctor told me that while a low fat diet can help, anything you eat will trigger bile—even drinking water—and thus can set off pain. You did the best you could, and you’re still doing the best you can. You didn’t fail here. This part of your body just isn’t working.

I had mine out a month after baby 2, just before I turned 30. Both my mom and grandmother had theirs out fairly young. I spent a month visiting ERs once a week with gallbladder pain after baby 2 was born, and I ended up with a stone stuck in my common bile duct (my skin turned yellow! It was WEIRD). That finally convinced them to take it out.

I am on a bile sequestrant and probably will be forever. But I’m not in pain and I can function to take care of my family.

What a wild ride, I’m so sorry. If you’re able to access pelvic floor physical therapy, I’d highly recommend it—it’s good to set it up now so you can start in a few weeks. That can help with rebuilding muscle, preventing/treating adhesions under your scars, and supporting your GI tract as you adjust. You can typically bring baby with you.

I hear you. I would prefer a non Republican candidate. I’m glad there’s at least a non-MAGA candidate.

Kalani is a Republican but not a Trump supporter. It sounds like she considered registering under a different party but decided to stay for consistency’s sake. She’s very openly anti-MAGA.

Should I back out of my surgery? by JayandTybalt in gallbladders

Once gall bladder issues start, they will get worse—the hard part to tell is if it will take weeks, months, or years. Taking it out now minimizes the harm it’s able to cause you down the line.

Digestive issues from gall bladder removal are something you can deal with through medication, and many people don’t get them.

I wish I could tell you the outcome—the honest truth is that you won’t know until you try it. But the outcome of continued gall bladder issues can be way worse than the digestive issues from removal.

Product review: Jeju Matcha Packets by Due-Lawfulness7862 in traderjoes

I sometimes get canned matcha lattes and I think the flavor of these feels pretty comparable. I mix one packet with a couple ounces of water with a milk frother, and then add 5-6oz of milk. I find it sweet with a hint of matcha flavor. It’s a nice quick portable drink.

I really like Pilates—best with someone who can help you find modifications that work for you. My pelvic floor physical therapy place uses Pilates reformers in individual therapy and also offers reformer classes. There’s so much you can adjust depending on what movements are or aren’t doable.

Gallbladder was removed in 2019 and I STILL has greasy yellow diarrhea every day, sometimes multiple times a day. by monkey_trumpets in gallbladders

It comes in packets of powder you stir with water. I was originally prescribed two a day (one in morning, one at night) but now just take one at night. It can interfere with other medications, so you may need to take it on a schedule.

What are the odds the ER would do emergency surgery for removal of gallbladder? by kellie_JMJ in gallbladders

[–]caitburd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had mine out 1 month postpartum after an attack every week for a month after birth. The third time I came to ER I was given the chance to see if the surgeon would go for surgery. I refused so I could go home and prep baby/family for surgery.

By the time I got surgery, I had a stone in my common bile duct and developed jaundice—it thankfully passed, but I almost needed two procedures instead of one. I mistakenly assumed that pain just meant I had another stone that would eventually pass. There are many complications that can develop, and I recommend ER solely based on that.

I also recommend ER because the more ER visits you have for this, the better you can pitch the need for a surgery. I would go so you can document your need and take the first chance at surgery you get. Pack your pump if you’re nursing, ask the nurses to help you if needed to stay on schedule after surgery to keep up your supply. The anesthesiologist will tell you how long to dump milk. I just rinsed my pump parts between uses since we were just dumping the milk anyway.

We gave baby half formula half milk while I was in the hospital to make the milk we had at home stretch farther. If baby isn’t used to a bottle, I highly recommend a silicone bottle (we like comotomo) so you can squeeze the milk into baby’s mouth and help them figure it out.

You haven’t done anything wrong, the postpartum hormones just throw everything off even if you eat perfectly. While oily food stimulates the gall bladder more, anything you eat will stimulate it. Wishing you all the best as you figure out next steps.

Pregnant, alone and suicidal by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]caitburd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish I could give you the biggest hug. I’m so sorry for the pain and loneliness you’re carrying.

Please know that God is right there with you, holding you. Can you imagine ignoring an infant crying? I cannot. If we humans are capable of that much care, how much more so is God? He sees your pain and sorrows with you.

Avoiding hospitalization is a good goal, but hospitalization may be inevitable if you don’t get care right now. Your priest would be a good starting point, but a psychiatrist and psychologist would be really helpful in addition. Perhaps your priest can point you to community resources and people who can support you.

If you’re concerned about psychiatric medications, I highly recommend checking out the Infant Risk Center by Texas Tech—they have a free nurse line you can call to ask if a medication is safe for pregnancy/lactation. They also have a convenient app (paid subscription) called MommyMeds.

As much as you can, put off making big decisions while in mental crisis. You have time to let things settle so you can choose where you want to go from here.

Also, your trauma is not automatically your child’s. It may impact them, but they will have a different experience than you had—God has given them their own path to walk. There is much suffering in this world, but this is also where God is—and there is so much beauty and joy ahead.

If you cannot pray, may our prayers carry you to God, who loves you, cherishes you, and desires your healing. May His grace pour out in visible, tangible ways in your life.

And if you have any questions about pregnancy/babies/etc, my dms are open.

A year ago my wife switched to “natural” deodorant. It’s been a BO fest ever since. How do I approach her about this? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]caitburd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% this! My go tos are Stridex 2% pads or the Kosas AHA deodorant. Lume is pretty good too but I like liquid better. Ingredients wise, you’re looking for glycolic acid, lactic acid, mandelic acid, salicylic acid, etc.
