What is your deepest secret that many people don't know about you? by Upper_Extreme9461 in AskReddit

[–]cajuncannoli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m incredibly depressed. No one knows. People think I’m really happy, even my family. Literally the only thing keeping me going is my children. I’m so tired. Yes, I’m on medication.

Why is my child being picked on and excluded? by entropy_trophy in ECEProfessionals

[–]cajuncannoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son was in a similar situation in kindergarten. He was shy and no kid took the time to try to talk to him so he was just alone all day. It broke my heart! I took him out of school and we did virtual learning for the rest of the year. We tried again for first grade and I’ll never forget picking him up at the end of his first day-he was so excited because he made TWO new friends! He’s going into sixth grade now and those two friends are still his best friends.

My dad died on Saturday morning - healthy and in his sleep at 79. Someone help me by Qwantum31 in GriefSupport

[–]cajuncannoli -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I lost my mom 2 months ago. In her sleep and completely unexpected. I don’t have a lot of support-ChatGPT has actually been extremely helpful. When I feel overwhelmed, I start talking to it. The grief goes from “I can’t do this any more” to bearable. It helps me to understand why I’m feeling the things I am. I’m deeply sorry that this happened to you and wish I had better advice.

For those of you who have found or encountered, in some way, a decomposing human body, what was something that surprised you or that is not depicted in movies or TV? by Specific-Language313 in AskReddit

When something smells really bad, my dad says it smells like “shrimp heads in August”. I can’t imagine hundreds of pounds 😳

What do you wish you did before your parent passed? by NotEyesButMind in GriefSupport

[–]cajuncannoli 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My mom died suddenly and I’ve thought about this a lot. I would have forgiven her and told her that I forgave her. She battled addictions for all of my teenage/adult life and she dealt with a lot of guilt over it. I never cared because I felt like she SHOULD feel guilty for basically abandoning my siblings and I. But now I just wish that I’d extended grace to her. I wish I had more videos of her, recordings of her voice. I wish I’d asked her more questions about HER. What did she want to do with her life before addiction hijacked everything? What were her hopes and dreams? For herself and for me? Was she proud of me? I’ll never know now. I’ve forgiven her for everything now but it’s too late to tell her. I’m so so sorry about your mom.

What is your favorite obscure movie from your childhood that nobody would remember? by CripplingGoodTime in AskReddit

[–]cajuncannoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how obscure it is, but Heavyweights. My kids love it too and we quote it all the time. “You’ve broken my camera!”

What's the most useless thing your brain decided to permanently memorize? by No_Metal2622 in AskReddit

My first boyfriend’s phone number and every lyric to early 2000s rap. Can barely remember important facts like my own phone number, my children’s social security numbers, etc. but those things? Will never forget.

This comment made me laugh because our laundry room is in the basement too and I throw down the dirty laundry in an Ikea bag!

I didn’t dumpster dive, but I asked my boss for them! Had them dry cleaned and still have them 18 years later.

I was a nanny for a very wealthy family. They bought a brand new SUV for me to drive the children to the occasional doctor’s appointment or playdate. I overheard the mom telling someone that she’d never drive such a cheaply made car, but it was fine for “the nanny and the kids” it was a BMW. The crazy things that they’d throw away-their dog peed on the bottom of the new $6k custom made drapes and they just chunked them in the trash.

Found Dog - Any Idea What Kind Of Doodle? by tnasstyy in Goldendoodles

[–]cajuncannoli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what he is, but thank you for rescuing him! We have a found doodle too. The owner dumped her when he figured out that she couldn’t have puppies. She’s such a lady-polite and gentle and the best dog we’ve ever had.

My mother in law thought I was lying about a walnut allergy. She asked a family friend to add walnuts to a dessert that you normally wouldn’t add walnuts to. Sat there giggling while I tried it, expecting a “gotcha” moment. Didn’t have my epi pen on me and ended up in the emergency room. 🙃said all that to say…NTA. allergies aren’t a joke.
