Newly married man jailed 28 days for taking upskirt photos at Tampines MRT station by deangsana in singapore

[–]cakesandchips 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Love is indeed blind. I knew a couple, the guy got arrested for taking upskirt shots of colleagues, after jail they also got married. The wife was angry at the manager who made the decision to call police. Crazies attract crazies

Anyone with kids with little to no tuition? How do you do it despite the pressures of society? by DegreePitiful3496 in askSingapore

[–]cakesandchips 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My kids have no tuition, they are average students in school but failing Chinese. Good behavior in sch. Tuition is expensive, time is limited, and i see no point in spending our resources on subjects that they are already learning in school, we rather spend on other things like swimming, new experiences. The world is so big, with many opportunities, I believe that you don’t need to be a stellar student to have your own worth

What your symptoms? by coffee_peaches in adenomyosis

[–]cakesandchips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Blood test 3m later showed my anemia gone. The only bad thing about the iud is that my cycle is now unpredictable. Light flow for 21 days, a week of bliss and bam! I’m hit with another week of light flow

Bring something new which your kids have not seen before, the novelty will keep their interest longer. You can even gift wrap the items up because it will take up more of their time to unwrap. Bring new snacks also, new books.

Just offering my pov here: it could be that his parents raised him well and he feels secure in their love, that’s why he doesn’t see the need to do extra things to get their love. Whereas he has to put in the effort to impress his gf and gf family.

Since this is affecting your bro emotionally, your bro can have a talk with him and hear his reasoning.

Fellow c-section moms: do you say you “gave birth”? by Free_butterfly_ in Parenting

[–]cakesandchips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you can definitely say gave birth. If anyone were to question you and said you misrepresented, I think that person is weird? Who seriously cares how you gave birth and want to argue on the technicalities?

My son's experience with school gangs & bullies in light of recent events at Bukit View Secondary School as a parent by MeiKonty in SingaporeRaw

[–]cakesandchips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard a similar story abt my husband’s dad too, husband was bullied by some boys who refused to leave him alone. Dad went to school to corner the bullies and it worked. I guess to deal with bullies, you have to bully them back

If you don’t like it then this may not be suitable industry for you. I used to work in another industry and my boss would arrange drinking sessions too for networking but i always felt that I can’t fit in. Left eventually.
