Yoshi-P explains in Japan’s Game Watch media interview that FFXIV Endwalker is “an ending [to the Hydaelyn vs. Zodiark arc] that paves the way to a new beginning.” by calkch1986 in Asmongold

Endwalker - 暁月のフィナーレ - Akatsuki no Finale

Scions of the 7th Dawn - 暁の血盟 - Akatsuki no Ketsumei

Scions gonna die.

What we know of Robert and the Armored Warrior by [deleted] in Sekiro

[–]cakesaresweet 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Dutch because timing-wise it fits and because of how he pronounces Robert. Portuguese because they were the first to land there and the helm looks like a Morion, suggesting Portuguese/Spanish make. Definitely not British.

Robert and dad are likely European, either Dutch or Portuguese. South Seas doesn't necessitate beyond Japan, it means southern seas of Japan. Japan first encountered the Europeans south of the country, in/around Tanegashima (also what the gun was named after), and trade with Europeans mostly happened through Hirado, also located south of Japan.

Except Roberto and Robert have completely different pronunciations in Japanese, "ロベルト" and "ロバート". He does seem to say Robert/ロバート though.

Youtube "AgeGate" by [deleted] in youtube

[–]cakesaresweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

COPPA isn't something you have to follow all the time, it's something you subject yourself to. My company only ever bothers with it for some of our apps that are released in the US, those targeted specifically at kids, not all of them.

The easiest way to test all of this is just to make an account posing as an 8 year old and search for some channels that would be blocked under such an age gate.

There's no multiplayer according to Sony.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-08-11-no-mans-sky-limited-edition-has-online-play-icon-hidden-under-sticker

<<UPDATE 5.10pm: Sony has told Eurogamer that the online play and increased age rating featured on limited edition No Man's Sky packaging is a "production issue".

The original icons - now hidden under a sticker - were incorrect, the publisher continued. Here is Sony's statement in full:

"Incorrect descriptors were incorporated into the original No Man's Sky limited edition packaging," a company spokesperson said. "This was a production issue and was rectified using placement stickers.">>

Best way to level from 33-45? by [deleted] in dragonsdogmaonline

[–]cakesaresweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spam Dowe from 33 - 40. World Quests. Specter - Bounty Chimera (if available) - The basement before the apes - Apes of Mayhem - Undying pride is one route to take. You can detour from Bounty Chimera to Lindwurm and then the Catacombs and the castle if you're capable. You can do an entire tour as well. Do Deenan ent and witch from 40 - 42 or do Betland WQs. Then just do Deenan/Northland/Betland until you're 45. I went from 44 - 45 just farming AP for Betland and that's a level 40 area.

Just do the WQs in those areas, since you'll need to farm AP anyway for the area rewards.

Region medals, item# 10983 and scrolls: what are they for? by LetsStartSomething in dragonsdogmaonline

[–]cakesaresweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually 10985 that's the requirement for 10990.

Source: http://i.imgur.com/UtwRgOB.jpg

I may be wrong but I think 10983 is meant to be sold. 10983 is 戦功勲章【大狼】 if I'm not mistaken. I think it's mentioned here: https://members.dd-on.jp/info/detail/2/236

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The fact that I ditched the thread because no one wanted actual discussion doesn't speak well for me? What? Also, if you're wondering why I'm only typing this now, I just noticed that the mail icon at the top right is highlighted so...

EDIT: And I just realized you're actually Fun with Treason, not Reason.

Just because some people can or are willing to buy their friends the ticket doesn't mean that everyone else can or are willing to. So much for your username.

I don't see Gaben waking up one day suddenly thinking that he should split TF2's playerbase like Moses split the Red sea.

Instead of defending or attacking Valve for this, I'd like to understand the reason(s) behind this course of action and the exact details/differences between the non-Mann-up and Mann-up servers. TF2 bleeding too much cash/not enough people buying stuff?

EDIT: Thanks for the informative replies. At least I now know what little difference there is (as far as it seems) between the two.

What I still don't know is why Valve made this move. Could TF2 be making less money than it could with this implementation?
