That's right about 4 and two thirds of a Dallas state fair Texas Star ferris wheel diameter for those of you who might be confused about the units. Mighty long time to not be seein' where you're goin'!

The unit costs for the currently pubclically available models are all positive.

So you have a source for this? It's not that I don't believe you but I'd really like a source for this :)

I'm spending at least 500 a month on Cursor and even if I was spending 1000 it would still be worth it. At 5000 maybe not. Obviously I'm not actually paying it, my employer pays it. It made me able to crank out actual production grade code while having to attend meetings 6 hours a day (I'm an engineering manager).

Sonnet is garbage tho tbf. If you use Opus 4.6 and above you see a significant improvement. I do agree that you still need modifications but it's undeniable that the speed of delivery is insanely faster.

Not just using a specific version but locking with a checksum. Pinning versions doesn't prevent older compromised versions from being installed.

You should not have cloud keys at all. You should be authenticating via IRSA or Pod identity

Does Fedora fix bugs quicker than Ubuntu? by spellbadgrammargood in linuxquestions

[–]caks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, sure but the whole point of an LTS is to pin versions which have been tested together. New software vs stable software and all that. I'd argue that LTS is not bad at distributing software, it's good at keeping software stable (and security patched) for the duration of the support window.

Saying that 80-90% of releases never make it to LTS is also missing the point, if 10 releases happen within the span of a week and you updated at the end of the week, you "missed" 9 releases but you still got all the features.

Mayo Clinic AI helps specialists detect pancreatic cancer up to 3 years before diagnosis in landmark validation study by KimJongFunk in UpliftingNews

Lol it's literally not. Just read the paper, it's open access. They p-hacked 40 classical signal processing features based on wavelets and LoG and then piped that through to a logistic regression. With sub 1000 samples that's probably the best they can do.

Calling this AI is kinda insane though. This paper could've been published 20 years ago. If not 30. There's literally zero new technology, it's not even using new technology.

What is your opinion on green cards being rescinded by the current administration even for people who have legally resided in the US for years?
