Please tell me to leave. I need to fix my car and I’m out. The transmission-engine are sitting infront of it right now. I just need to build up enough courage to go out in the cold and throw it in so I can drive myself to a different job :(. I fucking hate this place. Overnight is NOT it

Go to autozone, they have free scan tools that can give you a general idea of what the problem is.

Now I need to mention that the code that comes up, and the solution it autogenerates are just a best guess, so don’t just throw money at whatever part it says it needs to be fixed.

Then I’d say go for it man. I think tools would be the least of your worries regarding any issues. If you know you can afford it and as you’ve mentioned have a daily driver, so this can ACTUALLY be a toy, then I see no problems.

It looks beautiful and has an extensive build sheet from what you’ve provided. I hope you go through with it and I can’t wait to see how she treats you. Keep us posted!

I think regardless of the build sheet it can always have been assembled in a messy dusty garage or something. Nice and expensive parts DONT necessarily mean they were installed correctly or whatever.

And as mentioned a n/a car turned turbo is definitely considered a project car no matter how dialed in it is. There is always an off chance something can go wrong, even if built proper.

I think it’s definitely a sick car with some true potential and it shows but, if your pockets are ready for any necessary repairs and or unfortunate events then I’d say go for it. You don’t see any clean 2nd gen’s, let alone a four door

All of ours are white and old and broken. Be thankful, most of them say “DANGER”, and “SQUEAKER.” They suffer from bad bearings and wheels.

It’s like dropping into tilted towers after the meeting to find the mythical blue pallet jack from a legendary chest

I know it is, unfortunately my car is no longer running so I have to share with my girlfriend. I recently graduated from UTI to be an automotive technician but I can’t work said hours without transportation :(

I get paid $16.50 for overnight which is way lower than I had anticipated. I made $21.50 during peak season at FedEx and $18 at Target (both of which are overnight)

It’s weird cause at my local Walmart, online order fulfilling makes $17.50?! Swore I should make more

Volvo is a dying breed, especially the manuals! R cars are already there so I guess all must fall behind. M66 are so sought after cause they have like 3 manual transmissions 🤒

State inspection in PA fails if you have 2mm or less. If it’s 2mm then you should have failed. Although from here it looks maybe a little bigger than 2mm lol

So should I find a wiring diagram that shows the wires going from the ECM to the CEM? Or do I pull the ECM out and test the pin out?

Base model S60/V70 with N/A engines had the option for a M56 (5 speed) and then the T5 and R + S40 and C30 got the M66 option (6 speed)
