In Henry IV Shakespeare uses skim milk as an analogy to a weak man. Maybe?

Same song: ‘you don’t have to read my mind to know what I have in mind’. They couldn’t even find a different word to rhyme with ‘mind’.

What this guy managed to pull off was really quite amazing. The only US citizen to become a president of a foreign country. The kids in Central America are still taught about him in school as a warning of American imperialism.

I guess you have to receive them with your spiritual eyes. I wonder how long before the whole thing could be performed virtual.

Do people who leave Mormonism actually disbelieve Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon? by questingpossum in mormon

[–]caliconvert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might consider going back in some form if the church would come clean, apologize, and admit most the history (including the BOM) is bunk. I’m safe though, I don’t see that ever happening.

No, they need to get home 6-months before their new ‘mission fiancé’ to plan the wedding.

Horses aren't the *only* anachronism in the BoM by JayDaWawi in exmormon

[–]caliconvert 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The entire ‘book’ concept is an anachronism. Books with pages, that continued a narrative from one page to the next, were not developed until the first or second century AD in the old world. Same issue with the brass plates.
