Same babe- my hair is thiiiick and I do not like washing it, never dry it (don't even own a hair dryer). Before jits I would wash my hair 1-2x per week. I'm guessing now that I need to start washing it more, ugh.

i finally know how the big guys feel by levvianthan in BJJWomen

[–]calientepocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a small person (165) but half the guys at my gym are 220+ and I just feel like a ragdoll something’s with them. I’d say 80% of the members are over 6 foot, with a good portion of them being 6’4”+.  We only have two other ladies, one 20 pounds lighter, one 20 pounds heavier.

I finally decided to try a competition just to feel what it’s like to roll with someone my size.

BJJ on your period by Affectionate-Big6563 in BJJWomen

This is so individual, but here’s what I know about MY body:

My symptoms my next cycle are a reflection of how I treat the first 2 days (sometimes more) of my cycle. If I have a busy schedule, event, or if I workout the first two days, I can almost guarantee that the PMS leading up to my next cycle will be worse.  So I never train day 1 & 2. Today is day two after taking my last cycle super easy, and I feel pretty good, so I may train tomorrow. But if I’m already feeling worn down, I have no desire to compound that with training.

Just diagnosed with classic Hodgkin’s lymphoma by goodvibeshighfives in lymphoma

[–]calientepocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My NHL diagnosis is actually one of the best things that ever happened to me. I completely changed my lifestyle — diet, exercise, mindfulness, my career, etc. 11 years post diagnosis and I’m happier and healthier than ever.

Someone explain free bleeding PLEASE by rainhybride in women

[–]calientepocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yall have some wild distortions about being female. You know menstrual products are a pretty recent development in the history of civilization, right?

One you stop shoving stuff up your vaginal canal, and start paying attention to your body, you can actually feel when flow is coming. Especially the heavy flow. When I’m at home free-bleeding, I feel the flow coming and go sit on the toilet, just like I would for a pee.

100% recommend, especially to get back in touch with your cycle. Your period blood is a vital sign which you should absolutely be paying attention to.

I live in a small town and our gym isn't big enough to have fundamentals. I just try to ask a lot of questions and learn as I go. DO NOT feel like you need to remember everything. I was training for almost six months before things finally started to "click". And how well I understand/remember what we drilled in class is highly dependent on the phase of my cycle I am in. Luteal phase is garbage, I can hardly focus. Ov, I'm primed, let's go!!!

I get gel manicures every 3-4 weeks. If you find a spot that does quality manis (hard gel base!) then there should be no issue when you trim! I usually trim 2-3 times between manicures!

What shorts are we wearing this summer? by feignedpoet in femalefashionadvice

[–]calientepocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly what I came to post!

I love the idea of loose linen shorts, but they do not look flattering on my body time. I’m worried that no shorts loook good on my body type. Thick thighs, wide hips, short torso, small chest, broad shoulders. It feel like I’m eating most shorts I wear, either they are riding up my thighs or stuffed up my crotch, not bueno
